Thank you for your thoughts everyone.
Form filled in and posted by Mr Pooh this morning so our share cash should be with us by the end of the week.
We have planned what we will spend the money on about 5 times over. never mind, as you have said it is a boost we really need right now. Mr P has at least one day at work this week, maybe two
I hope you are all safe from the horrible flooding.
The worst is expected here this afternoon and we have to go to town to get the chain saw repaired again. Hoping it is something they will do free of charge as it just cost £80 to repair.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Mr P hasn't been to work this week. He is in bed poorly. Not sure if it is the depression back again or if he has a virus. I opened the curtains and he got out of bed and closed them. I took the hint and crept downstairs.
I think he would cheer up if he saw the blue skies that we have today.
Yesterday mr P and DS3 collected a four drawer filing cabinet from a fellow freegler and I can soon begin my filing in ernest. DD is away this week so we will start together next week. Just need some hanging files....more money
I made pies for dinner last night and as DS1 was on a late shift left his in the oven for him. This morning the kitchen was lovely and warm, (not the 14 oC it usually is) I had left the oven on all night and now we have used up all the gas. I think we have a spare bottle but I am annoyed at the waste.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I have added to our CC debt by adding £360 electricity costs to it. I did it to stop the DD going up to £170 per month!! When we switched suppliers we paid nothing for almost six months while they argued among themselves about our account. I should have put the money away each month but I didn't. You live and learn..
ETA I know I have learnt a lot. We now live on 1/4 of the amount we had in 1994 and have a new business set up so we must be doing something rightbusiness mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

We are back from the funeral. I have calculated the cost. Sorry if it sounds like I am being hard. £285 for three nights away for fuel to Wales and back, accommodation, food and drink. We shopped at Morrisons for food and drink, bought enough for packed lunches on the way there and back. It all fed and watered four adults. The cottage was just £120 for three nights which took some finding and was a bit out of town (9 miles) but the savings by booking a cheaper area more then covered the fuel costs going in and out of town. (We took a fair bit of food and drinks from home too)
The funeral was much more harrowing than I expected. My father's ashes were buried with his wife. He passed away five years ago but it felt as raw as if it was last week. And I blubbed like a baby. It was sunny and I was wearing sunglasses most of the time so I tried to hide it. They then gave us boxes of his stuff, shizzle, my son called it, which I haven't opened. I feel I may be waiting a while before I dare to look inside at his things.
On a humerous vein. I have spent months decluttering and now have some massive (house removals size) boxes of things to start decluttering some time. They can go in the spaces the boxes I propose to clear into my filing cabinet will leave. Ho hum
And because we had a car full of stuff we couldn't collect the dogs from the kennels so had to leave them an extra day. Another £20
Mr P is doing better too so hopefully will pick up some work in the coming week.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Good to have you back pooh.
Sorry about the strain..maybe you were crying over an accumulation of things..I do sometimes think a good cry makes me feel so much better. Also re your dad's stuff....it ws 10 years before my dad could bear to look in boxes from his mum and dads house..so in my book you have a wee bit of time!
Well done on keeping a rein on the spending.... Good going, especially under emotional pressure.
Heres to OH working next week too.

Mr P has been paid by someone he worked for months ago. It has meant i could pay my sister back the £100 I borrowed for petrol, DD for the money I borrowed for kennel fees and DS3 a bit of what I owe him.
Because Mr P hasn't been well he hasn't kept on top of his business account and went overdrawn but I have spoken to a woman at the bank and they have waived the £27.50 fee. He had also not paid his car insurance premium for the month so I have added that to my CC. One of the jobs he did was for a church and his invoice has to go to a regional committee before he can be paid so it is like money in the bank.
I decided I needed to look through boxes of Dad's stuff for things my siblings might want. Most of it is unrecognisable and probably bought by him and his wife rather than being 'family' items or personal to him. Sis would like a few things but brothers don't want to make any decisions yet. Looks like it will be recorded and packed up but most of the family are in agreement that it should all be sold and the cash given to charity or to give it all to a charity shop to sell. There are one or two items that we will keep for whoever wants them. I have had a very long phone call from a very angry brother in Oz who has no concept of how much stuff I now have here.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
