Just been catching up on all of your news Pooh. You sound jsut like me, 20% is my magic figure. Dont be hard on yourself though £7000 in a year is amazing.
Im glad you have spoken to DH, I really hope it will help.
Sorry to hear you have been worrying, I really hope you managed to get some sleep eventually last night xLBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

thanks pinot, I slept last night. 20% seems like an impossible number to reach but we made it to 10% which also seemed impossible....
I have a very old friend coming to stay tonight, just for one night. We haven't seen each other for about ten years. Though we speak every day.
DS3 has taken a chicken out of the freezer as he says he doesn't want them to think we are poor.Bless him
It was because tonight's dinner was planned to be ham broth.
Just as well he got the chicken out. I followed someone else's idea of cooking a ham shank in the slow cooker with broth mix. So the night before last I soaked the broth mix, last night I put it all together in the slow cooker, this morning no lovely smells coming from the kitchen. The slow cooker light is on but nothing else. It is stone cold
I have turned it up and hope that one of the other settings will work. Haven't been back to check on it yet.
The ancient portable tv in our bedroom went kaput this morning. I only use it to watch the news on a morning. Luckily the boys have some old portables in the loft so I will get one of them to have a look for me later. It is more the inconvenience as I have it cleverly secreted on a shelf in my wardrobe. Just need to slide the door back and there it is. Not so easy to change over TVs as I have the cables going out the back and behind it.
I would love a flat screen TV so think I might suggest one for Christmas: It has been suggested that I should ask for a frying pan!!!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

10 % is Fab !!
Hmm a Flat Screen TV sounds more preferable than a Frying Pan, although I want a Food Processor and Soup Spoons which I would never in a million years dared to have asked for or even considered asking for for Xmas Pre LBM !!

Thank you for the encouragement beanielou
Pinot, I would have been horrified if DH bought me something for the house for Christmas pre LBM too. I remember going to my brother's for Christmas and they had bought a dinner service for Christmas and that was all they gave each other. I was shocked and thought they must have serious relationship problems. How naive I was.
I managed to get a Kenwood Chef and attachments from Freegle, maybe I will be asking for a slow cooker soon... No flat screen TVs available on there yet.
ETA I forgot to say I am on a bit of a roll with ebay. Up to £308.99 this month!! It has all gone into paying day to day running costs and some small bills. The heating work came in at £100 under original estimate as I helped out a bit.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Sorry, Been AWOL again. Just haven't been able to get my head around anything. We had a bereavement last Sunday and there has been so much to think about, deal with etc. I feel more for my step sisters who are closer to the deceased but me and sis are really struggling.
We have let everything slide this week so need to be back on the ball by Monday morning.
I have been offered a filing cabinet on Freegle and DD and I are making the most of DH having no work and going to use him to baby mind while we get to grips with sorting out my paper mountain. It is all filed but in huge plastic boxes which take up too much room.
We have a £507 heating engineer bill to pay but have found a long forgotten source of income. I always scoffed at people who said that in the past. We received £26 dividend on shares we 'FORGOT' about. How did we do it? We have had some desperate times and never remembered that we had a few shares left. They are worth £900 so we will be cashing them in asap. It is no good having savings when you have debt, I am sure Martin has said many times.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I'm sorry for your loss pooh. Big hugs Xx
Great news about the shares. I know you feel that they could have been used a hundred times over, but the good news is they can be used now :T and it's one less thing you need to worry about while everything else is going on.Debts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j
