We are home :) After a great adventure.

We had an amazing time, the wedding was lovely and now DS1 and DDIL are now living in Florida. All the young people looked fabulous, the boys in their tuxedos and the girls in pink. DGD wore a white dress from BHS as flower girl. She actually managed to walk down the aisle and stand in place. At 22 months old she did very well.

The bride's family had us for dinner every night and breakfast too one morning.

DS1 received his VISA and passport just 3 days before the wedding!!!

We all had to leave him at home alone not knowing if he would be at his own wedding on time.

His FIL pull out the stops and managed to have everything in place. Even had the city hall opened on the Saturday so they could get their marriage licence.

Our house swap was awesome. The owner decided to stay with us as she enjoyed the company and loved DGD and all the English boys. She is now a firm friend and I am sure we will stay in touch for ever.

After the wedding 16 of us went to New York with the bride and groom for 2 nights. Manhatten was interesting keeping 16 of us together :D We did free things except the zoo in central park which the bride wanted to visit with all of us.

Niagara Falls was a bit decadent but we did have 7 of us in a hotel room, which was cosy :p

Then our stay in Canada at our friend's ranch involved us helping him get his house ready for Summer rental. We even redecorated our own bedrooms but it was all great fun, not like doing chores at home. The boys all played on ATVs. I even went into the bush to see how they collect and process maple syrup.

The last four days in Toronto we stayed in a very plush apartment in the centre which belonged to a friend of a friend. Everywhere we went people were generous. In 22 nights away the six of us actually paid for just 2 nights in a hotel and 3 in apartments.

We even took one of DS1's friends with us for the latter part of our holiday and he was made welcome as one of our family too.

Time for a sleep now. I will calculate how much we have to live on for the month tomorrow.

Pooh this all sounds absolutely perfect. It really was the holiday of a lifetime.

The trip sounds fab, the wedding sound fab, the whole family and company sound fab and DGD adorable !

If after having an adventure like that you discover that you will you end up living on bread and dripping for a month, its got to be worth it ?!!! xxx :rotfl::rotfl:

Thank you everyone for your lovely comments. We did have an amazing time. DS1 is now settled in Florida and searching for work.

He can do bar work or waiting as he has experience but really wants to use his Chemistry. He is fully prepared to do anything just to be working very soon.

We have put off working out what we have for the rest of the month but all DDs have gone out except the house insurance which goes out in middle of month. Mr P asked if we can continue our holiday and good feelings until after Monday :D Then he and I both have hospital appointments and will have time to sit and work out finances.

DS3 who we met up with in New York has been to Mr A and bought the groceries for the week and our local farmer arrived with a 1/12th of a cow while we were out at church!! All of a sudden we will be having steak for dinner today instead of roast chicken :D

Today's job is to find someone to do cheap photo prints to send out to family and friends who couldn't make it to the wedding.
