DS's 2 and 3 are going to stay with DD and DSIL tonight so I am hoping DSIL will manage to help get things moving for DS2's housing benefit.
There must be thousands or more like us supporting adult children when they are entitled to benefits but not getting them through lost information at offices all over the UK.
And saving the government money when we can ill afford it ourselves.
Today we have had another NSD. I am in bed with a flu like illness which doctor says is bacterial so I have antibiotics. I went into cottage this morning but have no energy so just chatted with DD while she worked.
Yesterday was spent sorting out DA's things and offering them to family members. DS3 paid for petrol, lunch etc.probably shouldn't have gone out yesterday as I was feeling carp.

I was woken by DS3 asking for a lift home at 7.15 this morning. he wasn't collected until 9am by Mr P. Both sons had a good night out. They don't have much opportunity to go out living out here. Both are, of course, asleep now.
I brought some of DA's clothes home the other day. Only the ones with the labels still on, and unworn. I am going to stick them on ebay and see how they do.

I agree with mikeollington - your postings here are an inspiration to people who say they can't change their lives, or manage without their 'essentials'. It's amazing what CAN be done, and then you generously share your life on this site and discover a platoon of new friends, some equally challenged and seeking reassurance, some just marvelling at the resilience of the human spirit.0 -

We have had another 2 NSDs
Very pleased with ourselves.
Being ill saves money?? I am feeling a little better but still very weak.
Today we are going to DA's house to sort out more things for charity shops or recycling. Then I am going to bring more unworn clothes which still have labels attached to put on ebay when I feel up to it.
Mr P is driving. DS2 and DS3 are going to pick up are car on South coast on Wednesday so have an early £30 flight to catch tomorrow. We will give them a lift to the city where they can stay in DS2's room. Bonus point of this is that DS3 will pay for the petrol
I spent over an hour listing one item of clothing on ebay yesterday. I used turbo lister which just seemed the sameas listing on ebay....I might be missing something....

I spent £2.25 yesterday
£1 at knit and natter, and £1.25 for a tea at the pubI am still a cheap date
This morning DS2 and I had a drive out so he could show me his new car. We took two bags of DA's clothes to the charity shop. Sad to see them go. But I have already seen an elderly lady wearing one of her cardigans she asked me to put in the charity shop last year. It was quite comforting to see rather than disturbing.
Then we popped into the antique shop to ask if they were interested in buying anything from DA's house. They have asked to see her clothes as they sell vintage from as late as the 80s.
I have also a lot of costume jewellery to give away or sell. I have chosen some nice pieces for myself. Then the cousins can have a look before we decide what to do with the rest.
We brought home useful thing for our household. All these things will definitely be used in this house, new batteries, new lightbulbs, sticky tape, drawing pins, picture hooks, a fan heater, cd player and hair dryer.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
