A quick thank you (Ryanair)

No Bob, you got it wrong.
You should be thanking those that can't book a simple flight on a simple website without getting it wrong. Or thanking those that don't check-in online, or the ones who bring oversized/overweight bags. They're the ones that make Ryanair great
From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
I'm trying to get over the thought of Bob the Saver being on the loose in harrogate as i'm afraid they don't welcome the sort of person who ligs about airports in their sleeping bag swigging wine. Are you splashing out on a hotel in Harrogate or dossing down in the train-station?0

airports far out of the city
British Airways are as bad as anybody in that regard. Why, when I ask to fly to London, do they offer to land me at an airport 40+ miles away?
The key reason I use Ryanair, other than the price, is their support of regional airports. Willie Walsh has no right to paint the word "British" on his planes when his idea of "Britain" extends no further than a glorified shopping complex in Middlesex and an airfield in Crawley.
Ryanair are a breath of fresh air to the travel industry. I regularly travel from Leeds to Dublin on business - with Ryanair it rarely costs more than £50 return (even booking late on), I can fly at convenient times and I can fly from my local airport. Pre Ryanair, I'd be expected to travel to and from Manchester and pay £300+ to Aer Lingus for the privilege. So, go on then Ryanair haters, why should I ditch Ryanair in that scenario?
Michael O'Leary isn't in business to do you any favours and he makes it damn clear that if you want to do business with him, you do it on his terms. It's a stance he has taken with some of the biggest airports and biggest airline manufacturers in the world - why on earth is he going to relax that stance for some half wit who is incapable of understanding some basic hand baggage restrictions?
Be smart, play by the rules and you can see the world for tuppence ha'penny. Can't do that? Fantastic! Your idiocy is subsidising my next weekend away.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. They are great for the types who are prepared to fly at terrible times to airports far out of the city
that you are meant to be flying to and pay over the odds for food and drink or go without.
Then travel with next to no luggage unless you want to pay £35 each way.
Yes, if you are prepared to go somewhere no one wants to go you will get it cheap
The Customer Service is at best a joke at worst plain rude and unhelpful
The enquiry call centre only open 9am-5;45pm monday-friday and closed all weekend,Then you have to pay £1 a minute for any type of help or advice on the phone and many people here have said they have been kept waiting for 30 plus minutes.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for and if you are that skint that you are prepared to put up with this type of low cost low class carrier then good luck.
I flew to Cork's International airport about 4 miles from the city centre,
Dublin's International airport to Leeds airport which is exactly where I wanted to be as it's the nearest airport to my destination. I didn't !!!! up the bookings by not knowing how top spell my own name so didn't need customer services. I took 9.9kg of luggage plenty for anyone for a week as the person I am visiting already has a kitchen sink.
(Unlike you it seems) I am able to manage short flights without the need for purchasing food and drink, anyway Ryanair tell you on their web-site that you are welcome to take your own to consume on the plane.
I just don't see a problem, apart what to spend all the money on that I saved.0 -

Visiting friends actually, and I didn't have a sleeping bag I sat surfing the net. In year's past I also mixed with much of Harrogate 'society' and found most of them very welcoming especially
'Lady B' in the 70/80's. If you were there you'd know who I mean.0 -
I really don't see how so many people can slate Ryan Air... it seems to be people try to follow the crowd with the view that they have extortiant fees and would never fly with them - when 9 times out of 10 they haven't even thoroughly done a flight search on their website let alone fly with them.
There aren't many airlines that don't charge for "extras" anymore.. so Ryan Air must be doing something right as the other airlines are following in their footsteps!
They have a fantastic record for their flights arriving on time - i've flown with them 5 times and don't have 1 bad thing to say about them.
I only book flight times i'm happy to travel on.. as for saying some of the flight times are unsociable - everyone is different. Some prefer to travel early hours of the morning/very late at night. And it's common knowledge it's cheaper to travel out of peak times.
They also cover alot of routes common charter and scheduled airlines don't.
Long live Ryan Air

The only thing I don't like about Ryanair is that I've been everywhere (I want to visit) that they fly. New destinations, please!0

Yes, you're right there but reading the forums there are just so many of them. I blame the parents.0 -

You haven't been to Harrogate recently have you?

Estonia sounds interesting

There's going to be some brilliant deals early on, I think and Ryanair must be the best way to get there, but there is no Tallinn some people.0
