1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
We're splitting hairs now, I didn't call the posting of duplicates abuse said the abuse team deals with this if it is a continous problem from one user as per the Forum Managers post I linked to in my post.
    :hello:

I quite understood lorweld's post. It is you who are missing the point that I and others make. One particular person is continually posting duplicated codes causing problems for other members. Calling it abuse (as I stated in last post) is an OTT reaction which would be guarenteed to put them off posting. I'm very sure that from previous experience, that they are being sent pms from people who angry to find themselves logging on for non code posts or codes that were posted only a short time previously.

No, I'm not missing the point at all. Abuse is the only word we have to use to contact the Abuse Team and the abuse button is what should be used, not the pm system to tell people off. If anyone receives such pm's then they should report them using the abuse button.

And as you quite rightly say, this thread is to discuss films, so why are you posting about a show/concert that wasn't even free? It seems that you don't abide by the rules that you wish others to abide by ;)

However, as you have brought up the subject, I know several people who have been to see his shows and become devotees because of the fabulous way in which he treats his fans. I know they have a special name, but it escapes me for the moment. I'm sure you can fill me in.

I've already reported my own post so please don't worry about the off topic part of my post :D

    cross posted with lorweld, sorry.

That scene with Ethan and his dog was too much, you could hear the audience gasp OMG.

About 3 people left within 15 minutes of the start.
wow, no one even left to go to the loo in our screening!

Don't you find that when a film is hyped up like Due Date was i.e. calling it funnier than The Hangover in the promo is asking for trouble. Surely the next Hangover will be Hangover 2 currently in production and I bet that even that film won't be as funny. I hope I'm proved wrong though;)
i hadn't seen any hype for the film, so had no expectations :)

Really? Wow! Our screening in Liverpool was almost full, to the point of people being asked to budge up a seat. Very few people left to go to the loo tbh much less leave. Do you think it might not have been a real dog inthat particular scene? Not that I noticed it looking like a toy or anything.
    same here. no one left!

My screening was at the Norwich cinema and this was only the second screening I've ever been to with such security, so unusual. I've seen about 20-30 films this way for free.
*proud to be dealing with my debts*

Oh gawd will someone shoot me now! Just as I get one Sky problem sorted another kicks off. Lost my internet connection for a while yet again.

Anyway, have just seen this email from Pearl and Dean. A way for our London members to get two free cinema tickets.

What are you views on the current economic climate? Does the economic outlook have a strong impact on how you decide to spend your money?

We are interested in finding out YOUR personal views about how the economy influences your habits in terms of how you decide to spend money in your free time on entertainment products and services (i.e. buying DVDs, video games and going out to restaurants, bars, to the theatre and in particular the cinema!). If you would like to help us answer these questions, please read on!

We are running a market research focus group that will take place on the evening of Thursday 11th November, and would be delighted if you were able to share your views with us on this topic. This session will be very informal, and will take place face to face in our offices in central London. So please note that you need to be able to travel to central London on the required date should you wish to take part.

All participants will receive 2 free cinema tickets (to be used in Empire cinemas) to say thank you for your time!

We will send more details if you are successful in your application to take part, but please note that there will be 2 groups, each lasting 1 hour in total. You would only have to take part in 1 of these groups (not both), but as at this stage we cannot guarantee which slot we would ask you to attend please only reply to this email if you are able to make both times on the evening of Thursday 11th November:

    1) 6pm-7pm

    2) 7:15pm-8:15pm

If you want to take part and are able to attend the focus group in central London next Thursday 11th November at the times specified above, all you need to do is reply to this e-mail and supply us with all of the required information below – please note: You need to provide all the information required to be considered!!!

    · Full name

    · Age

    · Living Situation (Single, married, living together, single parent, live with parents, etc)

    · Children (if any children, specify age and gender of each child)

    · Working Status (i.e. full time, part time, unemployed, retired, student, etc)

    · Current job (if employed)

    · How often go to the cinema on average?

    · Who usually go to the cinema with (i.e. partner, friends, colleague, family/children etc)

    · Which cinema do you usually visit (name of cinema chain)

    · Describe in one sentence – If at all, how does the economy affect your decisions when spending money on entertainment in your free time, and particularly your cinema visits?

By the end of the week we will contact all successful applicants, and give more information.

If you do not hear from us by Monday, this means your application has been unsuccessful (there will be more opportunities to take part in the near future)

I think you're right. I can't think of many places that are missing from this preview. In fact you'd be most unlucky not to be able to get to at least one preview.

If I was of a mind to, I could get to 6 previews in and around Liverpool.

It's been quite a while since we had a film that was showing at practically every major chain. Once it is being shown in Showcase you know they are really pushing the film.

This has happened before but I can't think which film was the last, although I'm sure someone with a better memory than me will be able to.

The Blind Side was surely seen by the whole population before it was released. It was EVERYWHERE.
