Went to see Due Date last night - SO FUNNY!
Security was very tight, we were checked for identifcation and had to show all mobile phones were off before entering. Cinema was completely full, not one spare seat!
*proud to be dealing with my debts*0 -
They had the IFR cameras out at Cardiff all night. Would only rate the movie a 2* though - too slow and predictable0

I watched my first ever 3D film last night...Jackass 3D and the visual effects were amazing.
However, if you are due to watch this film please note it is not for the faint hearted and you may require a sick bag!:j:rotfl::hello:0 -

The 'Security' at Vue Longwell Green Bristol was pretty crap: A bloke at the back and lady at the front, who ironically enough spent most of the film texting on her phone.
I was a bit disappointed with the film to be honest. It thought it was as good as Midnight Run and Planes, Trains... and was nowhere near. It had some good stuff but spread out a bit too thin.0 -

If someone wants to send me their email address, i cant really stop them
and pooch if you're going to shoot me on the subject of the post you've quoted then please slap your own wrist. we both know we have both broken the rules
I didn't specify originally on why you were being a hypocrite, you assumed.
I'm not the one telling people not to break rules. It's never been a secret that I get tickets for friends all the time and not necessarily people on this forum. I'm in no position to ask people not to ask for tickets. By reminding people of the rules that you have stated publicly you break, that is being hypocritical.
Now you know why people were recently having a go at you for constanty pulling others up then doing the same or similar yourself.:)0 -
However lorweld, as I stated in my pm, by constantly deleting posts by one particular person without ever telling them why doesn't solve the matter. Surely a gentle pm is a way to solve the ongoing problem. Calling it 'abuse' is a little OTT and might put the member off from contributing at all and that's no solution either.
We all realise that the bg's have more than one board to monitor but that's the problem in a nutshell. More Board Guides are needed, this forum is huge, far too huge for the small amount of people who voluntarily monitor it.
People like myself and possibly geordie_ben have volunteered our services and have not been taken up on it. Therefore, why should we then do the job of the Board Guide?
I am not attacking you or any of the BGs, I am supporting the fact that you have a huge job and you obviously need more help.Hi guys. It's not up to the bgs to pm users on where and what they can post, that is a job for abuse. I've contacted the abuse team regarding this thread and the codes thread. I'd also like to remind users that bgs are volunteers, we don't read every post and have a lot more boards and threads than just one.
Also can I ask people to read the first post in this thread and remember that offering or requesting tickets are against the rules.
Please read the forum managers post on expected behaviour http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=34432177&postcount=6

As a matter of interest to people for future secreenings, which cinema was this and is the high level of security unusual?
I went to see Due Date on Monday at Cineworld Liverpool and saw the two guys that regularly provide security there. We didn't have any IF security but I think people were asked to provide ID as after the film a member of the public asked staff if his passport had been handed in!!
As i was already in the cinema seeing a film before the preview, I wasn't asked for ID.0 -
No, Dotty, you didn't miss anything at all.. Crass and unimaginative rubbish. Could sense a few people laughing around me, in a very student-heavy audience, 90% full, but I don't think many people rated it whatsoever. 2 out of 5 is about right, as some of the gags were decent, and being an actor I liked the "crap acting", but even the comedy dog was under-used.
Proof positive that the more people write a comedy - in this case 4 - the less funny it is.0
