I've already given away 3 of my own tickets for Inception & o2 bono in July (see my post), surely I could be trusted?
Thanks

So here's how my evening went.... Rushed to pick kids up from school. Rushed to do their homework and make their tea. Rushed to parents for babysitting duties. Rushed to pick up boyfriend from work. Went to McD's and rushed down dinner in car. Got on motorway and..........stopped! Bludy rain and bludy traffic! Missed Due Date - would have got there about 20 minutes late, so we decided to turn back.
Please dont tell me I missed something hillarious............:o
Sounds like many of my days!!:hello:0 -

This is the actual "rule" posted by Martin. As you will see it actually asks members to "refrain" and goes on to say that it is for the safety of members. This rule is posted as advice but also to protect Martin Lewis and the website and those who are employed to run the site.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PERSONAL DETAILS AND THE OFFERING OF ITEMS FOR SALE/TRADE/EXCHANGE/SWAP/GIFTS
Please refrain from requesting the exchange of personal details either on the forum, via PM or email; particularly for the purposes of selling/trading/exchanging/swapping or giving as gifts. This includes posting links to your ebay auctions, or other forms of advertising.
If someone appears to be selling items on the board it may be deleted by the board guides/forum team. The aim is to protect site users as however honourable the intention, your safety is paramount.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Martin Lewis is nobody's fool and will know and understand that this "rule" is completely unenforceable, he is doing what any responsible webmaster would do; watching his own back.
However, as responsible adults (well most are), I am sure that we are quite capable of judging who to exchange information with and what that information is without thought of legal recourse if an internet friendship goes wrong.
I hasten to add that I do not uphold with people selling or advertising their wares as some seem to do and get away with. That is totally a different matter to exchanging an email address and/or name with the intention of passing on an unwanted free cinema ticket.

geordie_ben, you asked me to prove your hypocrisy. Please see your post made at 11:25am on 1st November 2010.geordie_ben wrote: »That's why i get tickets for people instead of sending out the link0 -
Going back to the oft mentioned subject of totally unnecessary and/or duplicated posts. This question is aimed at those who pm members pointing out their error. Has anybody contacted zuzanach? And if you have has this member replied and explained why they persist in posting messages that are totally unneeded? Has this person not realised that many of the messages are removed by a Board Guide? You would think that the penny would drop by now but obviously not nor do the comments made here make any difference either.
Anybody can make a mistake but this particular member is making a habit of it and I wonder why?
I am going to pm a couple of the Board Guides to ask for the recent duplication of codes to be removed and in one case; a duplication of a duplication! I am also going to request that a BG pm's zuzanach to point out why their posts are being deleted and to ask if this member in particular can stop making what amount to nuisance posts. I know that I am not the only person who is sick to death of seeing the same things posted over and over again and I'm pretty sure that the people who have to pay to log on or are logging on surreptitiously from work, are fed up too.0 -
geordie_ben, you asked me to prove your hypocrisy. Please see your post made at 11:25am on 1st November 2010.
Ah you see, you've changed my question. I asked when did I last ask if anyone one had spare tickets.... which was a very long time ago.
If someone wants to send me their email address, i cant really stop them
and pooch if you're going to shoot me on the subject of the post you've quoted then please slap your own wrist. we both know we have both broken the rules0 -
Hi guys. It's not up to the bgs to pm users on where and what they can post, that is a job for abuse. I've contacted the abuse team regarding this thread and the codes thread. I'd also like to remind users that bgs are volunteers, we don't read every post and have a lot more boards and threads than just one.
Also can I ask people to read the first post in this thread and remember that offering or requesting tickets are against the rules.
Please read the forum managers post on expected behaviour http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=34432177&postcount=6
