    Morning,

I had tickets through Natwest to see The Help last night at the Odean Swiss Cottage but was turned away even though we arrived on time. Is this common? It didnt happen to me last time.

    Thanks
    Linda

normally this is caused by nobs who think it ok to duplicate tickets for all their friends and family or selfish !!!!!!s who think it is fine that their coats have a seat too, leaving no room for others. Common in places like swiss cottage. it is totally criminal but these people think it is ok, so anyone who arrives on time with a genuine ticket won't get in. Also sometimes the cinema in all their wisdom decides to put the screening in their smallest room, with seats for only a limited amount. next time complain to management, they may allow you an alternative screening, failing that moan to nat west for giving out too many tickets wasting and disappointing for many people.
  • thanks all, i only finish work at 6pm and to be honest all the hassle isn't worth the free entrance... rather not go at all.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I gave up after half an hour waiting for the technical issues to be sorted out last night at the Natwest screening at West India Quay - just for my own curiosity anyone know what time they eventually showed it?

We had technical difficulties tonight too at the Acton screening of The Help. Waited for an hour and a bit, but to no avail. They did give us vouchers for a free screening of any movie, any time with no time limit on it - think I'll save it for The Avengers next year :j
    I love Frazzles!
  • ooo got tickets for tin tin, not sure whether it will be suitable for my 3yr old as its quite late. he has watched quite a lot PG films. I would take my 7yr ss but his behavior has been so bad lately he doesn't deserve it

Paranormal Activity 3 was busy with a queue building up quite early. They photographed people waiting and some did a video interview / acting up.

It was only shown for the first time in 2 UK locations last night (Tuesday)

They gave Paranormal Activity 2 dvd's to the people that were videoed acting up or giving their opinions before/after the film.

The film was ok, some jumpy moments and a shock outcome. (won't say too much as too spoil it for anybody) Not really my cup of tea but each to their own.

London and Sheffield were the only two cities in Britain to make it into top 20.

Are you not a fan of horror films then?

Wasn't really a horror, (no blood n gall n killing) more shock factor.

I was just bracing myself for the jumps. Even I did jump a few times!!

On HotUKdeals some people were given popcorn and PA2. Bit odd one gets them for nowt and the other has to do interviews/play up.

Not quite a free ticket but may be of interest / use to some. The o2 priority moments app currently has FREE Deluxe Odeon Premiere club membership (that's the one with 500 points - enough for popcorn / a small drink).

    http://www.o2priority.co.uk/Moments

It isn't one of the offers available by the website (yet) unfortunately - just the app.

    Thanks to zerowing on HUKD
