Checking the small print 3D screenings arent valid for this deal, apart from that its a good deal0 -
The 'animation' was breathtaking, but I still left the cinema feeling underwhelmed.
Impossible to say how the rest of the audience felt, but we did all walk out in complete silence.
Loved Captain Haddock, Tintin, and Sakharine....and of course Snowy.
Wonder how people felt about the film who hadn't grown up with Tintin as a child and therefore didn't know all the character already. e.g Thom/pson twins.
(Makes me wonder who their target audience is? Children presumably, but it is the 40-50+ age bracket who grew up with Tintin)
The graphics were unbelievable - sometimes I could have sworn there were some scenes shot with real actors on a real film set. It was so realisitic (apart from the noses of course) I have to question why bother with animation ? - I presume it is cheaper than to actually shoot a film.
I did find myself checking my watch a couple of times - never a good sign.
Sat transfixed through The Help this week, and only later realised how long it actually had been on the way home.
Now that was a totally spellbinding film.0 -

I couldn't make out everything that was said BUT it didn't spoil it too much.
Boo Hooo !! I have nothing for next week as the codes have dried up..
Was filling my boots the past month!!!
Thanks to everybody on MSE etc. for the codes. Hopefully some more soon!!
I've got ticks for Tintin and the Help and 50/50, but I know what you mean there were loads in Oct, but nothing new has been posted for ages.
Sounds like the Help is really good from what people are saying on here, can't wait. Bit miffed I went to see Machine Gun Preacher as I had ticks for the Help on the same night, wish I'd seen the Help instead, but luckily have last minute ticks for MondayGot married 13/11/10

I had free tickets to Ides of March but decided after a little thought and watching the trailer that it really does not look like my type of movie.
Decided to cancel as would have cost parking money and 10 miles worth of petrol so will sign up to 3 months for the price of one on Lovefilm instead.Mortgage: [STRIKE]Jan 11 - £91830 [/STRIKE][STRIKE] Jan 12 - £89'199[/STRIKE] May 14 - £69'999 Car Loan: [STRIKE]Jan 11 - £3658 [/STRIKE] July 12 - £0! Why isn't there any new preview codes???
I am perusing MSE / Hotuk and FMUK like a hawk but only finding extras of ones that have been floating around the past fortnight.
I am fairly new to previews, so what is the longest people have gone without a preview??
I don't have Sky, newspaper subscriptions or qualifying bank accts etc.0 -
