Machine Gun Preacher was excellent, it was a disturbing story but a well portrayed insight into what is going on in that part of the world.
A true story which offers some inspiration that it's possible to turn one's life around from a previous dark place.
I don't know how much might have been added for drama effect but it was very good.0 -

Didn't you find what the real Childers said at the end rather chilling? I did. I honestly don't know if I would use the word redemption in his case.0 -
Morning,
I had tickets through Natwest to see The Help last night at the Odean Swiss Cottage but was turned away even though we arrived on time. Is this common? It didnt happen to me last time.
Thanks

When you say you arrived on time, what time did you arrive?0 -
Just wanted to say thanks to the person that posted the Natwest The Help viewings - it was my first cinema freebie and it was a cracking film! (Have read the book and the casting and characterisation were spot on!)
So thank you! It was so easy, I'll definitely go againMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

10 mins before the show, last time I arrived 10 mins late and didn't have a problem. It only says on the ticket 'no late admission'.
seems they over compensated for no shows.0 -
I usually try to arrive 1/2 early but have been a bit late before and was then told there are no spaces left. I asked the cinema staff to double check and they then came out saying there were 8 spaces left but most were single seats. To be honest if you're going there too watch a free movie who cares if you have to sit on your own0

It generally says to arrive at 6pm for 6:30pm shows and actually I would advise you to arrive a little earlier to ensure you get in.
I'm surprised that you were allowed in if you arrived ten minutes late tbh.
Many screenings these days attract large crowds so if you want to get in to see the film, it might be best to arrive no later than 6pm as in many cases people are already queuing by then.0 -
Once you get the email about Paranormal Activity3 at Sheffield do you just have to print this off and take it with you or do you have to wait until they send a ticket with your name on? I'm so sorry for being an idiot and ruining everyones night last night and for chatting on the wrong site but wasn't sure who to ask.
The email is not very clear. Thanks for any help.0 -

Not to worry, this thread isn't a sticky and has a habit of disappearing. Your post isn't the first nor will it be the last.
Take your print out to the ticket collectors not the box office as they will not be able to help you as an advance screening won't be on their system.
You will then be directed to the relevant screenroom.
Make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the time of screening. So 6pm for a 6:30pm film for example. Most films are over subscribed to compensate for no shows and you are not guaranteed admittance of you arrive late. In many cinemas now, you will find people queue to go into the previews.
Hope that helps. Enjoy the film
P.S. Do you now know which cinema in Sheffield is showing PA3? When the tickets were originally issued the cinema was unknown.0
