That probably sounds really daft doesn't it lol
Best take ID with you (just in case) - 1/3 I was asked for ID and they doubly made sure the ID matched your ticket.
I get there 30+ mins before. Some let you in early and some make you wait in a queue (as o/p has said) until 15 mins before! Footloose people were turning up 20 mins late - bit annoying as they were talking to each other where to sit!!!
I think the same (cinema for free!!) it's amazing!!!0 -
Screening was absolutely packed tonight, not a single seat left anywhere.
Enjoyed the film...... been years and years since I saw the original, so I cannot honestly compare.
Can I ask what is going on with the code thread?
Seem to be several posts one after the other giving exactly the same code.
Nothing strange in that, but why are they being thanked by people?
Have I missed something ??
Footloose code 538064 - by Lurleene posted on the 9th
Footloose code 538064 (among others) - by Shenniko on the 10th
Footloose code 538064 (among others) - by SpreadPyr posted on the 10th
Footloose code 538064 - by ChazH today
Footloose "another" code 538064 - Princess Jasmine today.
Luckily I don't pay to receive a text message every time someone posts on the "code only" thread .... esp with DPrads post tonight.
p.s We had some "coming soon"s tonight - 3 Musketeers looks kind of fun !!0 -

The code thread is a disgrace, nobody bothers using search and the Board Guides obviously can't be bothered to tidy the thread up either.
Three Musketeers 3D is great fun. If you enjoy the Musketeer films I recommend this latest one which seemed to me to have taken its' inspiration from the Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain, Raquel Welch film.0 -
Thanks to o2 Odeon Cinema Code, went to see "Johnny English Reborn" - Very funny throughout
If you remember "Mind Your Language" an actress (Pik-Sen Lim) from that series is very funny in the film.
Daniel Kaluuya is excellent in this film.
The cinema was roaring with laughter...
Forthcoming film "Tin Tin" might be worth seeing, "Three Musketeers" looks good, "Puss in Boots" looks funny but I don't expect any of these to be free though!0 -
Why so many Footloose screenings?
I thought it was awful! Like watching the original, only with bad actors and rubbish music.0 -
Managed to get tickets for the VUE free screening of The Help yesterday and have to say it's one of the best pieces of film I have seen this year. It evokes a wide range of emotions and makes you wonder how America (and indeed the world) could treat those of foreign backgrounds so badly.
Great acting throughout with the character of Minny stealing the show0 -
Also saw 'The Help'. It was very long but very good. Thought the acting was exceptional.
Free Dematologica gift pack per person was nice too, and appears to be worth quite a few pounds!
The Odeon screening of Footloose, through Virgin, apparantly had free popcorn.0 -
Also just to add a different opinion, I thought 'Real Steel' was certainly not the "real deal". It was a blatant rip-off of the 1990's film 'Robot Jox' and 6 times as bad.
I also found the scene where the initial robot puches a live bull several feet into the air, the bull flying several metres through the air before landing with a huge thud, very distressing and completely pointless. What a nasty piece of film.0 -
An Autumn Cinema Facebook page is offering a competition to win free cinema tickets for a year.
Just go to facebook.com and then /autumncinema
You just have to enter a quick quiz.0 -

I wish to God I had chosen Real Steel over Sleeping Beauty which has to be one of the oddest films I have ever seen. disjointed, nothing explained and a strange ending! Just plain weird.
I won't advise people not to see it but don't blame me if you don't like it.0
