  • Saw real steel last Sunday the cinema was about 1/4 full (probably due to the hot weather) and really enjoyed it, watched footloose today (cinema full to capacity) and that was really good. Very different films but both very watchable. 9 year old son enjoyed both too.

    Saw Real Steel this morning.
Really enjoyed it - much better than I expected.
Ok so the story line is typical Hollywood Schmutz.
Cut kid, love interest, with the robot taking the place of the dumb mutt, goodies, baddies.....but still enjoyed it

Same ere. After perusing the film synopsis I thought "Real Steel" might be garbage BUT I really enjoyed it!!!!

I become emotional over wanting the robot to win!!!

The human story element added to make the film great!!

My cinema was quite full up, most people came close to the start.

I was lucky this week and got 2 lots of free tickets :D (and had date on Friday who paid for my 3rd trip! ;) :rotfl:)

I saw Real Steel on Monday -I'd give it 6 out of 10. It was better than I expected, but it was a tad too cheesy for my liking. Cinema was packed.

I then saw Footloose on Thursday. Fantastic remake, I'd give it 9 out of 10. Really enjoyed it, and didn't feel like they ruined the original. Cinema was only a quarter full.

I took a 7 and 8 year old to see footloose in Cardiff which is also a 12A and when i saw Real Steel there were lots of young children in there so you should be fine.

    Hope this helps :)

Took my five year old Son yesterday to see it and he absolutely loved it. Turned to me at the end and asked if we could go and buy the DVD now. :)

Hmm, yeah, I see what you mean! I just tried logging in and was taken to the same page.

Have you tried registering again? My cinema isn't on that list so I haven't bothered.
