Life and the people in it aren't perfect, get used to it. It doesn't give you the right to verbally attack anyone on here who don't agree with your views.....
I truly don't know why you bother with this thread after all you subscribe to everything going and buy every publication on the planet. I pity the O Zone layer with all the trees that you are responsible for being cut down just to provide you with a newspaper you don't need or want!
Well I wouldn't say that describing someone's views as "selfish" is "verbally attacking them", especially after reading some of the things you say about people on here, but hey ho....
And I think you have me mixed up with someone else again? I hardly buy any magazines or papers - I rarely have time to read them (apart from the Sunday Times) and usually only get them when there's a free film...0 -
You really are an insufferable pompous person.
Ha ha ha....quite incredible coming from possibly the most pompous and superior person on the whole of this forum, who actually had the audacity to tell someone off on here the other day because they didn't do WHAT YOU TOLD THEM!!!

You certainly have a different interpretation to me of "thinking of others" in that case.
Again, you have me mixed up with someone else I think or maybe a different thread entirely?? Nobody (least of all me) ever said anything about expecting the old or infirm to shift out of their seat??!!
Just so you know, I'm always one of the first to give my seat up on a bus or tube or wherever for someone else, whether they be elderly, infirm, or able-bodied!
And at the screening of Cars 2 the other week in Leicester, my son and I moved (at his suggestion because he spotted them - I was very proud of him) to an inferior seating position so a family of four with young children (and NO they WEREN'T LATE!!) could sit together.0 -
The_Old_Bag wrote: »That is the way I was raised, not to be selfish and make unreasonable demands on other people, and to be grateful when things are offered me - be that a free cinema ticket, or a seat.
Ha ha ha, well once again, nobody said anything about "demands", but I accept that it's too much to expect people to actually read posts on here.
But if you REALLY think that moving along a seat to help out a family with young children is "unreasonable" then God help us...0 -

But you did, here:-thefrenzexperiment wrote: »Unbelievably selfish....
.... if a family of four arrives, perhaps with young children, then they should be split up rather than you or your ilk getting off your selfish !!!!!! and moving up .......... Pathetic.
and here EVERYONE should shift up - YOU SAID:-thefrenzexperiment wrote: »Yes, I've been at a couple of showings which have only been around that full but where people on here have said they were turned away....
It might be related to people leaving random single empty seats and then sitting there like selfish idiots not moving up for people who arrive later. It seems obvious to me that when seats are short everyone should shift up.....
and here... not even move to accommodate 2 rather than 1 extra bvm - but now whole families and groups of 6 !!thefrenzexperiment wrote: »It's perfectly possible for families of four, six etc. and couples etc. ALL to sit with each other most of the time - it just requires a little cooperation and perhaps a little sideways movement one or two seats!
You repeatedly accuse people who don't move as being selfish.....and no doubt if someone was sat there 9 months pregnant or in a wheelchair you will claim you don't expect them to shift....
But how do you know if the selfish @r$e you are looking at or talking to has mobility issues?
Just because we don't drag around a crutch or 3 kids does not mean we don't deserve the same consideration as everyone else.
Last post from me on this issue, as this is getting completely boring and you are never going to admit you could possibly be wrong. All you do is reply saying "you have got it wrong" "i never said that" and "you haven't read what i posted "
We have read what you posted, we haven't got it wrong, you did say "everyone should shift" - post 3038 if you have trouble locating it!
p.s I don't normally fight, especially as I have a broken spine..... but don't let that interupt your little get together.
I will hold your coats and keep look-out;)0 -
Probably time to drop this hot potato?I love Frazzles!0

Because you HAVE got it totally and utterly and gobsmackingly wrong - once again I most certainly DID NOT say anything about expecting the elderly or infirm to move and I believe you are just trolling to cause arguments. If you check the posts my "you and your ilk" comment was not even directed at you!!!!!!
And it you really think that when I said "everyone should shift up" I actually meant it literally then you're either taking the p**s or just deliberately trolling again.
