If you read your original email/ticket, it tells you that you can change the name on the ticket and reissue the ticket in the new name.
It also stated on same email that there would be ID checks. It has happened in the past although rarely.0 -
ive just cancelled two tickets for the new Harry Potter film in Nottingham.

Details from an email I received from SKY - received 2 different ones actually, so I think this one might just be quite strict....not before time !
"Firstly, you must bring a print-out of your e-ticket including the barcode part of the ticket. This will allow you access in all locations except Dublin guests, who will be contacted separately. Simply bring your e-ticket to the cinema at 6pm and it will be checked against the official list of guests.. Any cancelled tickets will show up as cancelled on the guest list so please be careful not to cancel unless you cannot attend.
Secondly, you must bring a form of ID of the ticket holder. A driving licence, credit card, passport are all fine. If a family member with the same surname is using the ticket, then their ID will be acceptable."
So hopefully this will mean those people who have got genuine tickets will be guaranteed a seat - and those who take along forgeries will be turned away...... or detained and questioned.;)
Really looking forward to this.... but also will be a little sad, last of an 'era'.
It doesn't seem 5 minutes since I was reading the philosophers stone to my brood at bedtimes:o0 -
Really it shouldn't be too hard to have a guest list at these things so that no forgeries can be used!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

I agree with what you say about the forgeries , however my 15 year old son was going to go with his friend ( my son has no passport, obviously no driving licence and has no bank cards ), never normally a problem him using my tickets, sadly we have different surnames too ( like so many families do nowadays ) so looks like a no go this time for him.0 -

Don't 15 year olds have some form of ID card these days?0 -

So all you need to do is let him take YOUR bank card with him
