Still quite a few seats for Harry potter in Bristol (150 seats roughly). Unless they're all outside queuing for ID checks and security.0

Harry Potter was a waste of time. Arrived at 5:50pm for a 6pm start, still waiting for the film to start at 7:45pm. They were just screening the footage from the premiere, presented by Alex Zane.
I left at 7:50pm, and the film still hadn't started. Had to leave, as if it ever did start, i'd have missed my last train home....
No checking for personal ID though, they ticked my name off a list, but it could have been anyone using the ticket. Barcode wasn't used at all either. (This was at the Leeds Light by the way.)0 -
Sorry that you had a wasted evening seagullsim.
Especially as the film was very good, probably the best of the lot in some ways.
Special effects were excellent, and young Daniel has finally gotten into his stride;)
At my screening the bar code wasn't used, but my name was crossed checked with a list, AND I had to show id - first time EVER!.
Lots of security outside and inside the screening.
Phones were checked that they were switched off and not just on silent etc.
I was rather disappointed that the 'Red Carpet' event went on and on and on for so long.
The film itself didn't start until about 8.15 I think. Which was not fair on people like yourself who had buses and trains to catch to get home. I checked on the length of the film.... but didn't factor in a nearly 2 hour delay before it started.
Although I did enjoy the screening of the events in Trafalgar square..... it just went on for far too long, when all we really wanted to do was watch the film.
If I was at home, and there was TV coverage of the premiere which lasted an hour or so.... I probably would have watched it - even a 2 hour programme with little snippets from the film would have been ok. But tonight, I just wanted to see the film
All the speeches on the stage at the end.... anyone would think they were making acceptance speeches at the Oscars !0 -
There were around 50 empty seats in our screen (it was a huge screen though so that was just the front 2 rows). Film started around 7:50 for us, just after JK made her speech. I agree the red carpet section did drag on for far too long. We'd been at the cinema for 2.5 hours by the time the film started. ID and bags checked. I got told off for using my phone whilst the build up was going on (seemed a little OTT!).
Film was awesome though.0 -
