Have placed regular sales orders recently with no problems but this time only one order seems to be trouble free.
The other two orders I placed included one suit each. Looks like one order has disappeared completely and the other order, the jacket has been dispatched but no trousers and the order on their website has changed to match just the two items that have been dispatched. Not easy to return the jacket from Australia so it'll be interesting to hear what they have to say.

Just had my first M&S order problem, I know I know I have been lucky up till now!!!!
Got my order delivered this am, only it isn't my order its someone elses!!! It is adressed to me, but the order inside is someone elses with their packing slip.
Called them up apparently my order was only dispatched this morning and is not scheduled for delivery till the 11th Oct. They asked me to return package, I said no, its your mistake come and pick it up. They said they cannot do that like eh?????? Am not anywhere near a M&S shop.
Under normal circumstances I probably would have made the effort to return it but I work full time and am never near a post office, plus am off work at the mo with horrible virus.
They told me there was nothing they could do if I won't return it and just to keep it.
Not gonna do that once am better will take it to PO. What a shambles. Will wait with bated breath to see if my order turns up!

This happened to me once. I got someone else order, even though it was my address on the front. The order inside belonged to a man and I had his card details and everything inside. When I went to take it back to the store they looked at me as if I had done something wrong as though I had stolen it from this man. Sometime M and S are really good and other times they are not.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one who's had problems - ordered 2 pairs of boots for my daughter and had 2 separate emails to say they are OOS. Also ordered 2 pairs of shoes for me (2 different sizes to see which fits better) had an email to say they are delayed - 1 pair coming at the end of this month and one pair at the end of next month!! Then had an email to say my order has been dispatched!! So who knows what I'll end up with but it's all going back on principle and I'm ringing M&S in the morning to complain.

Does anyone know why you couldn't have sale items delivered to store this time as I have done in the past??? (Probably because the items never existed in the first place :mad::mad:
  • I posted last week to say that I didnt know that you were not allowed to get items delivered to store and while paying for my items I had to go back and change the quantitiy but while doing this I noticed I was allowed to deliver to store so that was the option I choose it was only when I came on here in the morning and noticed that people where saying they were receiving emails with orders cancelled that I then pressumed that I would not recieve my order but on thursday I received an email to say goods despatched to store and estimated delivery day would be sunday and then no more emails so I thought I would just chance going to my store with my order number and see what they would say. Next thing the lady appears with a box with my name on it and better still it had all the items inside I couldnt believe it but I must admit that M&S sale when online is very poorly organised good luck to all those still waiting on their stuff x

I had an email yesterday to say an item is OOS and has been cancelled off my order, then another email today cancelling another item.

I can't believe how slow they are.

The last time I had a delivery from them the item was faulty and it's taken months to sort out.

I complained via their website and got a bog-standard email in reply saying:

''I'm sorry to hear some of the items were out of stock and cancelled. When you place an order with us you receive a confirmation email - this email only confirms that we've received the order, and doesn't allocate the items to you. Allocation only takes place when we take the payment and dispatch the items, and this is when you receive the second email. '

It was from an email address you can't reply to which means that if I wanted to respond to it I would have to start again via their website. I really hate companies who offer poor service then just send standard replies in response to any complaints.

I don't think I will bother with M&S sales in future. If you go on the site and it shows stock - it means nothing because you will only get your item if they have stock in a few days time - hence lots of people place orders and some people may not get what they ordered.

Seems a waste of the customer's time!
