Incidentally- and again, I'm sorry completely off topic- but does anyone know of a thread where people are trying to save up for a house rather than get a mortgage? I've searched, but I'm just coming up with gubbins.
We were never in the position of being able to get a mortgage because of irregular self employed income (and we live in a flat owned by DH's mother so it's never been an issue) but for several reasons I'll not go into here, when my debts are eventually gone, I'd like to save for a house rather than get a mortgage if it's at all possible. Reading other people's experiences might inspire me.Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -

Thanks juliejim. Managed to clear some of the floor in the children's room, and asked DH to bring down one of DD1's horrible boxes. That will be my next HHC, but I think I'm off for a bath first... pong!Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
