What price bracket do you find brings more custom? My prices range from £3 -£25
in a hurry, so to be brief - mine range from 50p (reindeer poo / dog biscuits) to £2.50 (flannel reindeer, pint of socks, sock cupcakes). The last sale I took over £200! but it was a 6 hour job (at that sale I think I did very well as I was one of the cheapest priced stalls)
I sell mostly at schools, so am aiming for stocking fillers / kids buying for mates or family type prices.
No harm in having a few more expensive items on display too, but for more steady results good to have cheaper things too
Good luck0 -
Hi Everyone,
This is my first ever post, so i'll apologise now!! i have never done any sort of crafting, and i would love to try, i would like to start with makeing some of the little bags of sweets like the poop etc. please would someone tell me were i would buy the little plastic bags, and i'm guessing that the labels are just card cut nicely and decorated, or can you purchase them ready cut and just decorate them yourself ? any little bit of advice would be very greatfully recieved, also can i say your all so clever xx:A

:)Hello
Right, Here I am, I've done it at last, I've been lurking for so long, I've taken the plunge and have decided to join in !
I love reading this thread and really enjoy the pictures of what everyone has made. I've used some great ideas from here last year I made the pots of gold and the snowman soup for Christmas.
Recently I made a flowerpot bouquet and a lollipop tree which turned out quite well. I have also made the magnetic pegs which I'm really pleased with too. I bought my plastic bags from The Works to put them in. Four pegs fit really well in the bag. Hopefully will make a few posts and post some pics.
Thanks again everyone for your ideas and help. It keeps me happy whilst my husband is crafting on 'World of Warcraft' or when he is working away from home.0 -
Hi
Quick thank you to the people who gave a reply to my request regard die cutters. A bit of research made me really want a craft robo as it cuts everything I could want but without the costs of the dies. The cost of this machine can be very large and I put several bids on ebay to no avail as I was afraid of paying a good deal of money for something that may arrive and be "not as described". I had been looking at the older Craft robo with optical eyes which do print & cut. Anyway because I had been originally looking at die cutters which obivously don't do anything like a print and cut I went to the manufacturers website and got a b Grade basic version (no print & cut) with 2 years warranty for £78 which equates to a big shot but no die costs as there are loads of free templates on web, I can always upgrade later. Also being a bit of a PC geek this satisfies both my PC & crafting urges.
Nonielish I get my 144mm x 144mm from Factory Outlet £1 for 25, I also use a cheap bag sealer to cut bags in half for ES mints0 -

Are there any shops I can get them from today? Or does everyone buy them from ebay?
Thanks in advance for your help!

"I am desperate for some cones to make snowman soup"
Last year I used the icing bags from Lakeland - they were a wee bit expensive if I remember correctly.
I know it's a bit late in the day - it may help0
