  • HI
Enjoying reading all of your posts
and well done to those of you have been to fairs.

Where do you get pipe cleaners from? to make the flannel reindeers

I got mine in Asda for a £1 they came with pompoms in various sizes. I looked for a bag with the most red pompoms for reindeer noses. The pipe cleaners were various colours. If you need brown pipe cleaners I have found the best place to look is on a haberdashery stall in markets but they are ususally more expensive.

I found this template (in pdf format) amongst my files - I made about 20 of these packets for my Father in Law one Christmas and put them in a decorated box

If you would like a copy just PM me
  • Please I was wondering if somebody could help. I would like to make some snowman soup for my Christmas Eve hampers. Could someone kindly tell me the quantities and ingredients I need. I would like to make them in cones but enough for 1 person.
    Thank you, Sarah

qwiksave - love what you've done with your sequins......I'm sure I've got some lurking somewhere :T

    susie.............super snowman :T

I've not have much joy today other than covering a little box for telephone messages...........it was one I'd had for a while, used all the paper in it and since had two more bought for me.........so, time this one found a new home I thought.
Then I started off doing a button necklace for foster sons girlfriend..........what a disaster ! Started off ok but almost halfway the thread got in a tangled knot, couldn't undo it and in the end in broke...............so I'm left with a button necklace to fit a doll.................lol:rotfl:
    Oh well, never mind.................:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

I've not been on here for a couple of days ....... so busy making !!

I have noticed that people have been asking how much to put in sweetie bags - I've put 50 grams of Cadbury white chocolate buttons (from cadbury outlet shop) and I would charge 75p each.

when i have made snowman soup i have put in 8 teaspoons of hot chocolate, 25 grams of chocolate chips and 20 grams of mini marshmallows, but thats for 2 servings so just half, but also read the instructions on the hot choc box as cadburys say 4 spoons and others say 3 spoons..

I did a Peppa Pig party for my DD when she turned 3. Here's what we did in addition to pass the parcel
    • Muddy puddles race - cut out four puddle shapes from newspaper, divide into two teams, two puddles per team. They have to race across the room by standing on one puddle, putting the second down in front and jumping onto it, then pick up the one they've just left and so on across the room
    • Muddy puddles - more newspaper puddles, when the music stops you have to stand on a puddle, but there's always one less than the no of children (like musical chairs but with puddles)
    • Pin the tail on Peppa - I bought a Peppa poster from play.com - blanked out the tail, scanned the tail to create loads of copies - use blue tac and you can still use the poster in DD room after.
    • Corners - get 4 different pics from PP, stick them in the 4 corners of the room, when the music stops they have to run to a different corner, pick on of the corners out of a hat, everyone in that corner is out til there is a winner OR everyone in that corner gets a haribo and just keep dancing (I prefer this way as you can keep going with the game for as long as you need!)
    • Party bags - you can get sets of PP stickers from places like the Works that you can split up. I did kitkat wrappers, bought Percy Pigs from M&S that I split up into smaller grip seal bags from ebay with a PP topper, and bought smart price pencils and notepad from Asda that I re-covered with PP images.
I still have all the publisher files I used which I would be more than happy to send you, but I don't know how I would do this?

PS - have been a lurker and love all the makes - am doing Snowman soup and Reindeer poop this year for PTA stall at xmas fair after being accosted in yard for ideas and coming on here for inspiration!

Ooh you little life saver :D:D:D:D

I am going to hold it on the 1st Dec so this would save me a HUGE amount of time, thank you for your kind offer :A:A

Erm, I do not know how you would send them either, perhaps create a file for each one then attach them to an email?

Would the pretzel bags that FlyingPig linked o do the same job for the Percy Pig sweets?

    Thanks again :j
