Doggy treats are definitely going to be on my to do list, also love the mints. Now I admit I have had a glass of wine (only one) but I can't work out what you have done with the packaging (for the mints). It looks like a tube inside a rectangular bag? If so what is the tube? Also the mints are tic tacs? Fab makes though!! Am desperate to start doing some more crafting, am half way through a lot of pegs, a batch of snowman soup and some sock cupcake mugs but am having to work and it gets in the way!!

Bubble the mints are tic tacs and i have put them in a plastic test tube. i got 10 for about £3.50 on ebay (not sure who now but if you put plastic testube in the search you will find loads come up). Then i tied ribbon round the tube once i had put the lid on and attached the tag i have made. then popped it in a cello bag and sealed.

    Good luck today Dawn:D
Rosie fab idea about the perforating on your machine.
Flying pig thanks for the great links to the charms.

Cuddles what is the poem for the perfect man?
Also does anyone have a poem to go with the princess shake?

Right i am off to e-mail another 10 copies of my friend tag - can't believe you all actually want a copy Thanks so much guys it makes me feel like i must be improving. I would never have thought anyone would actually want to use something i have made so i am really chuffed:D

    Perfect Man poem

    THE PERFECT MAN

They say good men are hard to find
I know this to be true
But I hunted far and wide
And found one just for you!

He is no good at DIY
    He cannot fix the car
But his socks are never smelly
And he doesn't stray too far

    He always listens patiently
He won't pester you in bed
And if you get fed up with him
You just bite off his head!

I have made felt Gingerbread Men to go with mine, but some people bake them instead.

A couple of people have asked me about mini bulldog clips for mini calendars etc. there are lots on e-bay - if you just search for "mini bulldog clips"

Last year I bought mine from this seller, below, and can't recommend him more highly.

He has these in yellow and pink - which are lovely for all the year round. Last year he also had red, blue and black ones too - don't know whether it would be worth just asking him if he had any more......

Its a family tradition in our house that after Boxing Day and things get a little quieter we all start making our "New Year Tut"

The idea is to make the people we will be sharing New Years Eve with a little present. Its not many, as we don't do the whole party thing .... just a meal out in the early evening followed by a few drinks at home .....

But I always say I remember my New Years Tut often better than my Christmas gifts .....

So I thought I would share with you some of the ideas we have come up with over the years ......

    MONEY TIN
I covered a Poundland money tin with white sticky backed vinyl ..... took seconds and then added odd self adhesive lettering and stars.

A post-it note holder for my Brother In law who was studying art

I'm not sure what I am making for this year yet ...... but I just love all the secret scurrying that goes on before New years Eve!

She Grinch I covered the MONey tin with white, self adhesive vinyl paper and an assortment of left over self adhesive letters and stars.

I love the personalised savings cans, did you buy them blank or did you paint them? I so was it just enamel paint? Great idea for Mens presents which I find very tricky :)

  • Rosieben, thanks so much for the idea :D Not sure if it will work, but will see what I can do :)

Good luck to all who are doing fairs today, I have forgotten you all (sorry, baby brain)

I shall post my makes later on, when I have done a few more.
