You can get your hair chemically straightened in many places in SE Asia at a fraction of the price here. Could be an option for you.
As for massages................ they are available everywhere, but I was at the theatre and they were going round the audience DURING the performance offering to wax / syringe your ears out !! I had a guy 2 seats away from me getting it done when I was trying to watch the stage :rotfl:****************************0 -

My son went travelling a couple of years ago and one of the items he was advised to take was a door wedge. If you are staying in a hostel or cheap hotel good to make you feel more secure at night.0

My fella hasnt bought anything yet, and is leaving it all to the last minute!!!
i really want him to get excited about buying backpacks and stuff, but being a bloke, he couldnt care less.
MEN
i wont be letting him use my `travel washing line` and door wedge, he has throw his washing on the floor for all i care!!

It's amazing what they will do for money in Vietnam. Nothing there costs much. We went for almost a month and spent about £350 in total and we ate out every day and bought everyone gifts home.
You won't need to carry many clothes around and those you take you will be able to wash and dry them in about 5 minutes. Theres no overestimating the heat there.
Straighteners won't do you any good. The air is so humid (it's like walking into one of those tropical fish shops) that your hair goes all frizzy anyway and a lot of the electrical plugs don't work anyway.
I think in the cities the locals drink the water but in the outback they don't as it's drawn straight from the ground or rivers and lakes and not cleaned.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040 -

Hi,just a wee bit of info/advice re immodium type medication that I was told by a doc-diarrhoea is the body's way of getting rid of a dangerous bug and to take something to stop that process will allow the bacteria to multiply to often fatal levels inside the body.Sorry to talk about such things at this time of morning!:rotfl: Better to take rehydration sachets instead!
Enjoy your trip-it's something I regretted not doing when I had the chance! xx0
