Of course it's complete rubbish. They were at least £6.50 when I was last there.

My passport :wall: ........... once when organising a trip for myself and a couple of novice fliers , i was that busy organising everybody else that i picked up my son's expired passport.......,. didn't realise until i went to check in and saw that the corner had been chopped off :wall:
All turned out well in the end though , managed to catch the flight with minutes to spare........ still trying to live it down though:o

apart from passport , i don't travel anywhere without a torch, multitool, sick bag(not for me though)copies of documents, mosi bands

  • Torch is a good idea........some places only have a couple of hours of electricity apparantly.

i have never forgotten my passport but i went to the cologne christmas markets a couple of yeasrs ago it was -10 degrees and forgot my lovely thick coat that i had bought especially.
so spent the entire time freezing.
    not good!

I think that was a joke? Lighten up!

Sorry - I seem to have had a sense of humour and a common sense bypass this morning!

I blame it on the mega headache I've got!
  • My 'comfort zone' is a silk sleeping bag liner. It is enexpensive, takes up very little space, and is a clean, luxurious layer between me and anywhere I lay my head.

I only have a 30 litre rucksack so i dont think i would be able to fit a travel kettle in there. im saving some space for my GHD's though!!!!!

i didnt know u cant drink boiled tap water out there. what a pain!
do the locals drink the tap water?

PLEASE tell me you are not taking your GHD's for travelling !! As much as I like to have smooth silky hair, in SE Asia it's a fruitless exercise with the humidty and the hassle.

I go for the natural look in SE Asia, i.e frizzy which I tie back (as it will be so hot)

As someone else mentioned, there are often power cuts for hours on end, and you wouldn't be able to use your straighteners then.

You will also have the hassle of the electricity conversions etc depending on where you are.

I don't mean to rain on your straight hair parade, but it really isn't realistic for your trip.

And you should scan both of your passports and keep email copies of them, so if the worst comes to the worst, you just have to print your copies out to help get a new one.

Same goes for emergency details etc - you will ALWAYS be able to get an internet cafe in Asia (apart from when there are power cuts ;) )

I got my hair straightened in Vietnam (again, very cheap) ... took two of them aaaggggeeesss to do it .... was there for a few hours, but I got all of the below thrown in ....

head, neck, face, ears, shoulder, arm and hand cleanse/massage, with a manicure ... (stopped them at my feet, I hate people touching my feet!) ... Ended up staying there half the night as eldest fell asleep while they were washing/massaging her hair :rotfl: :rotfl: ..... it was an amazing experience, unlike anything I have ever experienced!
I can say whatever I like here ... 'cos no one can see me .. ner ner ner ner ner !!!....

How do you know I ain't sitting here butt naked?!?!

I thunk I've made you think for a minute!
