Delivery arrived this morning, and I have never seen so many boxes in all my life. I am sure I only usually get 4 at the most, but got 6 this morning! And they are all fairly heavy, I can remember ordering a few of those 75p shower gels, but heaven knows what else is in there. Got one of those new smaller boxes as well, they are the same size in width and depth but not as tall (hope that makes sense).

Have just noticed I've nearly been at this lark for a year! Wonder what my anniversary pressie will be ............ ? !! (and will it be in stock LOL!!!)

woohoo, have potentially got a Christmas Gift Evening to go and promote Avon at! just need to check dates, to see if it clashes with our visit to Santa at Harrods! I bought 2 diaries last year, and haven't really used them! What a waste! If I had I could just whip it out now to check instead of looking through paperwork! note to self, get organised! Get a new job! or promote avon so you can quit hated job!

I need to whinge, sorry, know this is not the forum for it, but you are quite good virtual friends to me. As I only work part time, I have part time holidays allocated to me. And because childminder took 4 weeks off over summer holidays, I have only 4 days left until april next year! For holiday, any holiday I take from after the 4 days are used up will be unpaid, I can't afford unpaid as I have to pay for pre-school and childminder! I get child tax credits but the rest of my money goes on paying childminder or bills and food. Now, I might need to take 2 weeks at Xmas as most childminders shut down then, and I am currently looking for a new childminder but I will only get 4 days paid holiday! And on top of that they pay for christmas day and new years day!

Eeeeeek I am in the shtook! Desperately need to find another part time job so I can leave this one or have lots of avon customers that will help pay bills! And you will say what about DH? He is self employed specialist decorator, and most companies shut down for christmas too, unpaid, and this year has been slow for him money wise, and he pays rent and council tax, and he got ripped off for a lot of money!

ok, feel better, whinge over, back to avon!

I had a really sh*te day yesterday where i think a build up over the last few weeks just finally erupted! It is all office politics and i stay as much as i can out of it but when it directly affects you you cant really avoid getting involved! I felt like quitting i was that annoyed. When i got home FH was there already and he was armed with a tin of celebrations that he had won for his store achieving bonus so we spent the evening ploughing through that.
This morning i came into work and i feel a lot better realising that i shouldnt let these things get to me when i enjoy my job itself. i could go into specifics but its really all completely unrelated to avon so i wont bore you all.

BUT, my point is (yes i do have one there somewhere), if you arent enjoying your job - maybe it is time for a change? i mean, i know thats easier said than done in the current climate but theres no harm in looking is there?

do you mind me asking what it is that you do part time?

i am really enjoying doing the avon thing - aside from having some extra pennies - it is good to get around and get to know your neighbours - something i have missed since moving here. You are obviously a good sales person and a job where you are working with people would probably be ideal?

Anyway, it sucks about the holiday thing and i wish there was some way around it. how old is your child? is there a friend or family that could childmind instead? options you've probably already considered but.... here's a nice hug for you <<<<<<<aureol>>>>>>> and go get a nice cup of hot choc. mmmmm.... :)

The only way I can ever get a diary to work for me is to have it on my phone (works even better now I've got a swanky google phone so it's all stored on google calendar as a back up!). I NEVER have a pen in my bag so as soon as anybody told me anything I couldn't write it down anyway. So nice as well to set birthdays up as annual events and never have to write them all out in a diary ever again!

I've done that for years, even when I had a cronky old Nokia! I even now use the voice recorder on my phone to record messages on my rounds for houses which aren't interested, or houses I need to put on my customer list because they are definitely interested.

I rarely use my phone for calls & texts!!!!

such a good idea! but I am one of those that needs it visual on paper. Also having problems with my phone since DS has dropped it so many times, it is really smashed up and I can't afford a new one.

And DS keeps taking it and playing with it, setting me reminders and stuff! He would probably delete it all! His dad has a fab phone, you can lock it, so DS hasn't worked out how to do it, so can't touch his!
But I do like the recordings idea, must do that, so much easier than losing my bits of paper saying no to this number... etc.

    Hello everyone!
I didn't put much effort recently in Avon. I'll put more in this campagne. Soon I'll go upstairs and prepare my books.

Keep at it A, I'm sure with the stalls and things you're doing that will get you more customers. I can't believe how well were doing this campaign, potentially got a few more orders to get so maybe, just maybe, we might get £800! Hopefully it'll stay like that on the run up to Xmas. About £100 of that is from customers that found me on Facebook - search for 'for sale, wanted' groups in your area, there's a few for my area, I post Every week or so (can post the link to my group to) and that's where customers have found me.
Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A
  • Just had my first proper mistake with avon. A new customer ordered facial wipes, 3 of them. I bagged them up and took them round but as I got home she called to say they were feminine wipes instead:o
I didnt even notice when I was packing everything up. Just called avon and ordered an immediate replacement. the woman was laughing about it but I should have noticed. I hope they come soon for her.
