I'm a little annoyed today. I've been working my territory for a few campaigns now, and I've got a feeling for who orders and who doesn't. I think I've been doing okay, but there's quite a few of my streets where people aren't interested so I thought about asking my ASM for some more. Right back at the beginning I remember her telling me about another rep she had in the area. She apologised if I came across any of her books or customers (she described her as being like a spider :P) but she'd been doing it for a long time. Fair enough I thought. Until I've been speaking to friends / collegues etc from all over the village and it turns out she's canvassing 3/4 of the ENTIRE village. No wonder she's making a killing off of it and that the other reps give up after a few campaigns. I've even found a few of her books on my streets.

I know it's a little silly to be upset, but why on earth would a ASM allow one person to have practically a monopoly on an area? Even if she reallocated the territory, she's got the loyalty of the customer's she's been dealing with. So looks like I'm stuck with my tiny territory after all.

awww kynnnie, that's rotten. Are you close to another village to canvass? or would this be impractical?

My avon delivery was made to another rep who lives on the next road, but I went and knocked, lights on, could hear TV, kept knocking, but no answer, so left a little note through the door to call me. annoyed. means I have to go back tomorrow to try and get it. The courier suggested I ask her to take it regularly, but if it is going to this difficult every time to get my order, I'm not going to.
  • Have accessed my invoice and one of the items I ordered as a free gift for someone who ordered more than £30 is out of stock and it says do not reorder. I could giver her one of my free products I get for joining/ hitting HOV or I could order something for her next time. Not sure what to do.

Unless you told your customer what you were giving to her, then give her one of your free products for hitting HoV. Most customers appreciate a free gift, as long as they can benefit from using it. Ie I went to give a customer a bubble bath and she told me she only had a shower! So I exchanged my free gift to her with a shower gel :D

Sorry not sure what you mean by internet offers. Do you mean on the Avon.co.uk Website, the Avon Shop, if the customers see the same offers as in the book?

Or do you mean the internet offers we get, on selected items?

If you mean the web and the book, they are the same offers.

And you might find a customer orders one of the products independently, another orders another one, and it might work out better for you ;) to order the 5 for £5, and charge the customers the price they put on their order form, and the extra products you can keep and use as incentives or use for yourself.

One of my customers ordered 2 products from an offer, which was 3 for £5, her order came to £6. I have ordered an extra product for her and will only charge her the £5 and tell her she missed the offer, as she is a great customers and spends upto £30 most orders. So for the sake of £1 that I lose discount on, I get more respect from my customer! Now she knows I look out for her best interest.

    thanks for the help!!

by internet offers, i mean things like the 2 for £10 mix 'n match on selected makeup that shows up online when you go to the main avonshop uk site, then click LATEST OFFERS (it won't allow me to post the link)

It says all promotions are good until midnight October 27. But, my ASM said that i must place my c16 order on October 18. So that means there is basically a ten day period where customers can still get the special offers and sales on items from c16 online, but they can't get them from me.. is that correct? I have heard that I can backorder from c16 during c17, but I don't know if that means I can get the special offer prices on things or not. :o

They are the same offers as in the book. At one time I noticed online they did different offers to the book, but they seem to have stopped doing it. In the book, there is the same offer of 2 for £10, one of my customers missed the offer and thought she had to pay £50 for her goods, when I was checking, noticed the offer and amended her order to reflect it and told her, she was very happy.

Another one managed to up her order from £7 to £10 by telling her, her favourite lipstick was on 2 for £10, so she might as well take advantage!

AND you will still be able to backorder on C16 and take advantage of the same offers, for those customers you didn't manage to canvass the first time with C16.
