I did all of them last year - we did miss some customers out on the one that was delivered just before xmas (my last delivery was about the 20th if I remember rightly) - we didn't think that many people would want to order, but were pleasantly surprised. We just missed out the people who tend to mess us about / hardly ever order anyway to reduce how many brochures we would have to collect. Then for the one that was after christmas, I delivered the brochures to everyone (my work is shut for about 10 days over xmas / new year) as I had the time, and it being a new years offer brochure we again sold about the usual amount which we were surprised at - we didn't think anyone would have any money left lol.
If you can - try and do all the brochures, they reduce mov over the short campaigns, and means you get to earn a bit...I would only miss out a campaign due to holiday / unforeseen family circumstances.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Welcome Betsy and newbies, and Morning All,
With C17 looming I'm about to create my usual Xmas note for customers. I always put a note on C17 and C18 catalogues highlighting that this is the time to order for Xmas. This type of thing...
Order early - avoid 'out of stock' disappointment
Pressies for whole family
No quibble returns policy for whatever reason
Only one more catalogue before Xmas
Highlight stocking fillers
etc etc
I note C1 will be delivered before Xmas, no doubt with all the Xmas stuff 'on sale' and also probably running low on stock.
I had an exceptionally good C16 (£410) which was a nice surprise, due to early Xmas pressies being bought.
Have a great day. The sun is shining here in Kent (just)."Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
Good Morning, thank you for your replies, providing there are no reward schemes on the lead up to Christmas I think I will do C1 for the regulars in my village only (after checking that they do want to see C1 and C2). My delivery date is 23rd December so I dont want to be out on Christmas eve delivering things (especially as its my hubbies BDay), does anyone know what the stock is usually like for C1 as I might say to people about not ordering any last minute Xmas presents incase they are out of stock (or Avon forget to put them in the box
).
Another question is I have three villages as my territory, two of which I have on the current campaign and one on the previous campaign, how do people make sure that their customers see all the brochures before Xmas but then start again with two campaigns in the New Year (so many questions and its only 8.48).0 -
I drop 2 books off in the New Year (current and back order to best customers) and back order books only for the less regular customers. That way they all get to see both books.
Delivery date of 23/12 is cutting it quite fine - you could be super organised and get them out same day! Would suggest anyone ordering Christmas pressies also picks an alternative just in case stock is low. The C1 brochure in previous years has been much more of a special offer/sale brochure rather than gifts. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

What do you think? Are they safe to order with or should I try elsewhere?
After you place your order you may see a notice saying click her for £10 off your next order - dont click anything.

I've got a link to the C1 brochure:
http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/222/
If anyone wants to have a look and see how to play it with their customers. My backorder people will be seeing this with a delivery date of 29th Dec. The Christmas gift side of the brochure is played down compared with previous brochures - Christmas items are at the back. But it's definitely not laid out with a January sales theme. The emphasis is on parties and, in my case, items will be delivered before New Year's Eve so it's still going to look more-or-less current, even to my backorder people.
HT links as well:
HT 01: http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/225/
HT 02: http://www.e-pages.dk/uk_avon/229/
Even though the HT 02 tab in my browser says 2010, it looks as if this is this year's brochure: Avon Care re-design, matte nail polish.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

Thanks for your reply Money Maker, I always deliver to my village the day I get my order but wait until the Sunday to deliver to my other two villages, dont get in from work till just after 5 so dont want to be knocking on doors after 8pm. Thankfully all my customers are really nice and so far havent had any problems when items are out of stock or not put in box but thanks for the good idea about alternative item incase things are out of stock in C1.
Already started buying Christmas cards for my customers (cheap card shop near where I work), and am planning on doing a raffle with C18 for orders £10 or over.
Cant believe how gorgeous it was yesterday which is the complete opposite to how it was two weeks ago when I got soaked through and then got a flat tyre whilst delivering brochures (went home and ordered some water proofs, now just need to order thermals for the winter ).0 -

Thanks for the warning
I paid through paypal in the end so fingers crossed they wont be able to take anything additional!0 -
You could always just tell your customers that orders will be delivered around the 27th or later...so long as you can get them delivered & the book back before your next deadline you don't have to give them a pre-christmas delivery...just make sure they know when it will be coming. Plus it would avoid them ordering xmas bits that end up being out of stock/missing. Granted you would have avon boxes everywhere, but whats new lolAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Quick question about the christmas gift guide that came with C16, can you only order from them in 16 & 17? Are the items in them likely to go OOS really quickly?
trying to work out if its worth buying a christmas party pack for demo or not, if people book a christmas avon party and I take that with me but they cant buy any of it its a waste isnt it?0
