Well I got an email back from avon who have confirmed that my ASM should give me brochures for the first 2 campaigns and they have emailed her. Hope she does not get funny with me because I went over her head!

Tough - I've done it before now when asms have messed up on my reps territory...if they did their jobs right then we wouldn't need to, you haven't done anything wrong! If anything they'll be more careful in the future to do things by the book with you to avoid it again, which is a good thing!

Oh thank you Lozza! Think I am so terrified that my mind went blank! Especially when she said they are upmarket! My Avon party is local so that is fine, I kinda know the people who will turn up so will do a £1 box as that will go down well.

My contact was saying not to do a £1 box at the Fete, but I think I might but make it a bit classier for them. Wow a lot of work for me! Better get on decluttering the house!

Umm, have you tried the local Schools and Scouts, Girl Guides, NCT, I volunteer through Timebank, they are everywhere! google for your area,and it is the local Timebank Administrator who said they were having a fundraiser for the Church, and I was welcome to have a stand. I am also using their community hall for my Avon party, my friend lives on the estate so gets it for a huge discount . I am not allowed to donate items for a raffle, even though I said I would, as the Church would have to get a license for Gambling, etc. but they are going to have a tombola, so will donate for that instead.

Do you have a local St Luke's Hospice? They often have fundraising nights, and may have stands that you could try?

What a great ASM you have! Still not sure who mine is, I got a call the other day from someone saying she was calling on behalf of my ASM, we were out at the time and so shocked, I forgot to ask who was my ASM!

Good drinkuppretty! Well done you! I hope she does it, if she doesn't then PM Lozza for some further advice on how to get them!

Lozza is right! ASM's need to recruit Reps to hit their targets and a good ASM will have a great reputation and may find her Reps recommending friends for sign ups, making her life easier.

And a good ASM doing everything to help you succeed in your Business is so good for them and for you! Lozza's new ASM is amazing. Wish I had her.

Got another 2 orders today! I'm up to £254 for this campaign now Shame there are lots of things I need in the Avon book...

Spoke to some new people this morning and got invited to a ladies coffee meeting which is every Friday so I think that may be a good place to drop Avon into conversation. not sure how to go about it, still very new to this whole sales thing!

Make that 3 orders! 3rd one was only for £5 but still happy with that

I love this thread & I've found it useful sharing tips and experiences with you all. Can I just ask if you decided to share stuff like logos from others on here, would you mind asking first? I've noticed someone using my logo on a facebook page (I got a friend to design it so I know its not a stock Avon pic) which I wouldn't mind quite so much if the person had asked! Sorry if I sound a bit petty as the logo itself might look like its from Avon but it was designed like that on purpose so some time and effort went into getting it just right, so I'm not particularly keen on others using it.

Right time to get some books prepped to go out tomorrow! Hope some of you are able to enjoy the lovely sunny day rather than sitting in ebay listing like theres no tomorrow and getting books ready!!

woo-hoo got another order just as I was unlocking the front door - a neighbour chased me down the street! Now have £178 which I'm dead chuffed with - is this ok for a first campaign?

My ASM is coming tomorrow to do my training, show me how to order etc. Really excited.

Just hope there isn't too much out of stock.....My ASM said my order must be in by 15th October, can you order earlier? Also I haven't received an email regarding my account details, will my ASM bring these with her?

with the coffee thing, just ask people what they do, hopefully they will ask you in return what you do, mention Avon, ask if they see a book, do they have a rep, but keep it casual, not an interrogation, and then hopefully they will ask for a book. Have a bag with a few, and business cards if you have any. Good luck. x

well done! that is great for a first campaign.

you can order earlier but it will still be delivered on same day the following week, less one day. So on the 21 October.

Avon should have e-mailed you but don't worry, if they haven't, ASM should have your account details ready for you.

why don't you get your friend to put some kind of trademark on your logo, tiny, but enough to show it is not stock Avon logo and it personal to you? That way if you see it anywhere else, you can prove it originates from you?

And I don't think it is petty at all. It is nice to be asked first.
