Hi There.
Im so glad to be back on the Avon Scene and I am totally buzzing about it all - I almost feel like jacking in the day job and just running round the streets with my Avon Brochures!! :rotfl:
I have already had over £600 of orders and I still have afew more brochure drops to do. Order doesnt go in until 20th. Im a bit worried about my first order credit limit but ASM says its usually the my cost which is the limit not the customer cost, so hoping it will be ok.
Im doing a ladies night in November just before my 17 goes in so hopefully get more customers from that.
I think Im gonna have to put in an additional order before 17 though, due to the credit limit.....as I will need products on my stall at the ladies night. My plan was to pay off balance then put in additional order.....how long does it take to come through? (so I give myself enough time)
Does the additional order count towards incentives?
How much do I need to order before I earn from it?They automatically send any samples that you qualify for. As a new rep placing an order between C15-18 you can also order yourself a free anew skincare pack when you submit your first order - ask whoever signed you up for the details, long as your first order is £78 or more then you'll get that as well - good for free gifts if you don't want to use it yourself.

I went to a Netmums meet last week, which I have agreed to be a Righthand Mum too (:eek) and we are not allowed to sit and promote our own businesses, the meet is supposed to be for mums to make new friends. If asked if we can tell them, so when asked what I do, I told them part time job and Avon. That leaves it out there if they want to ask me for a book.
Well one of the mums was constantly talking about her own business and self promoting, so at next meet, a quiet word, she made my friends uncomfortable as they said they weren't there for that! And it turns out she lives on one of my territory roads. So I said oh I am an Avon Rep, you live on my territory, I think you might be one of the do not leave a book at house. Wish I never spoke, this is the reply I got, "Oh yes, make sure you put me down as a do not leave, I don't do Avon, I don't do Kleenze, or any of those books, make sure you never leave anything at my door.!" OK, got the message! By the way stop self promoting your business as you are not allowed!0 -

I used to do it full time until I realised I wasn't earning enough to survive, but so wish I could go back to it full time.

Yes, Avon will only ask you to pay your Avon cost, so even £600 in sales, may only be £450 and if they give you a credit limit of £500, you will be fine. If you go over your initial credit limit, you can always talk to them, they may increase it, ask you to pay some up front, or ask you to put in 2 orders. Well done by the way! Wish I could earn that much in sales on my territory!

If you put an additional order in, sometimes it comes faster than your main order, sometimes it is delivered with your main order, depending on how many items you need, and the weight. Over a certain weight, gets delivered in Avon boxes by courier. Other times could be 5-7 days after your original order.
Does the additional order count towards incentives?
I don't think it does, I think they only count your original order sales for incentives. But it does count towards President's Club.
How much do I need to order before I earn from it?
You would need to put in a minimum of £78 on your additional order before you earn 20% discount. £154 for 25% discount.

You need to ask your ASM about this.
Thanking you all you lovely people xxxxx

One last thing.....Im about to put in my C16 order with back orders from 15...so would i still be able to back order 15 on additional order or just 16?
I think I have been very lucky with this order....I got my old territory back where I had lots of regulars and they have missed me :A, i also did my own incetives which helped.
It just makes me feel really daft for giving it all up 2 years ago .

Yes there is - if you pm me your email addy I'll send you the pdf form of the leaflet, you can choose between the different age ranges. Could be your asm might show you the leaflet on your 2nd appointment with her, thats what most people are doing to make things less confusing for new reps.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0 -
Really pleased with C16 so far - got just over a £100 from just my mum, her boss, one of my usual customers who wanted her book picking up early & a new lady who found me on facebook! Still got all my books to collect in on tuesday, along with one from a customer referral so can't wait - I'm hoping this is going to be our best camp this year!Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

I've been asked to have a stand at a Church Fete, and sell Avon items. I have been told it is quite high class, but they won't spend more than £5! They are quite snobby and probably not used to buying Avon.
Like Gloversgirl, anyone any ideas/tips on how to do one of these? Am bricking myself about my Avon party! And then to agree to do this! I must be mad!0 -

Just C16, for an additional order, but you should be able to back order C15 through C16. Although you may find some items are not available as they are not in C16 or C17, and also you cannot back order clearance items from HT for C15.0 -
Awh you'll be fine A! If people that could potentially become customers - then I'd have a little display of items they can try (you can send them back afterwards
) from across the ranges (maybe an eyeshadow quad, pressed powder, nail enamel, some anew/solutions bits, and perfumes they can try and maybe some of the xmas stuff & jewellery). You might be able to change peoples mind about avon if they can see & try bits!
As for stuff to sell - maybe some everyday toiletry items (shower gels, deoderants, hand wash, hand cream etc & bubble baths - 5 for £5 in C16 which is great value for the b.bath)
Good luck! I've been trying to find local fundraising events (asm said she'll provide a free raffle prize for anything we hold within her area) to try and sell a bit, but mostly get new reps. So far not much luck!
Some make-up perhaps & some of the reasonably priced perfumes - there are usually some on offer at £4 so you could try selling a few of those as xmas presentsAvon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0
