If I were just selling to friends and family I would have got 20 for C16 and 20 for C17. When I sent her a message asking about getting catalogues for C17 I did say that I had read online that I was supposed to be provided with brochures for 2 campaigns so I don't think there is much else I can do. Can I just order catalogues for C17 this order and the C18 catalogues when I submit my order for C17? Or is this a bad idea?
I feel for you mate. Exact same as me! What are the initials of your SL? As i know we are in same area and wondered if we have same SL? I'm not too sure about when to order the catalogues, only that you are supposed to order books two campaigns ahead. so you are probably going to have to order both 17 and 18 with your c16 order. PM me if you want to.DFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800

Sent you a PM. Yes I think that I may have to order both campaign brochures too0 -
Hi guys
Well after many doubts and wobbles I have not had too bad a couple of days! I'm currently up to £144 with 5 days to go on C16, my first campaign. Still have a few books out with people that I know are going to order and I may go and do a bit more canvassing. Got 3 orders from 10 houses on the opposite side of the road to me today-clearly not as tight as the ones on my side :-)
I've probably not made a great deal of money as I have my £7.50 to pay and I offered free gifts with any orders over £10....and guessing from a lot of posts here I'll end up buying my books for the second campaign. Guessing if I go for some 75p-£1.00 freebies I should be ok?
Well done! Sounds like you've had a great start! Yes i would get some of the cheap shower gels or similar - or maybe some clearance things out of HT? I would try and get some bits together through creative ordering before you do your next offer like that as then you will probably be less out of pocket. If you need info on creative ordering there are posts a few pages back. Also, the £7.50 is paid in two parts in your first and second order so that's not too bad. I would contact your SL for your second lot of books though before order day because it isnt fair that you should be out of pocket. How many books were you given for your first campaign?DFBX2016 #160 - £3550/£8800

The stock indicators usually show around 48hrs before your order is due which gives you time to order a different item if necessary. It's worth leaving the original on there though, as they have been known to turn up! Don't forget you have 90 days to return unwanted items.

Hi CutiePie
I thought it was £15 split over first two Campaigns? Maybe I'm wrong.
I think I shall do as you say and build up a little stash before introducing another offer - think I just wanted to tempt people in!
My SL is coming on Monday for my training - she gave me 40 C16 books as I decided to canvass, so guessing she might make me order my C17s....:mad:Avon Representative October 2010: C16: £276 :T C17: £297 :j0 -
It is £15 over two campaigns x0

I spoke to my step Grandma today and mentioned to her that I am now an Avon lady, she said "oh great I have an order for you!" which is fab. Its caused me a bit of bother because she wants her item before she goes away next week which is before I get my delivery but think I've sorted that problem out. Anyway, she lives in a residential place. Not a home but the kind of place where they have apartments, a residential community I guess its called. She said they dont get books and she thinks the other residents would be interested. Its only a couple of miles from my house so I'm going to claim it as mine (if nobody else is I can right?)
They have a communal sitting room so I was thinking I could take some books and order forms and maybe sort out a little bowl with choccies and samples and leave them a note introducing myself and pointing out some of the offers.
What do you think? Does anyone else do something like this & have any tips? wondering what samples would be good to stock up on for them to try etc0 -
OK! Can I clear this up once and for all!
You have to pay Avon a £15 administration fee. It is £7.50 taken in your first campaign, if you place an order, and the second £7.50 is taken in your second campaign if you place an order.
You are provided with 20 campaign books in your first campaign and 20 in your second campaign. Your UPLINER (whoever signs you up) gets paid for the books, if they provide you with them and you place an order in each campaign.
For those who's SLs have given you 40 books in your first campaign, and told you, you have to order books for your 2nd campaign, I would like you to email Avon through Contact Us, give the name of your SL or ASM saying this is what they have said. In Hello Tomorrow, your Sign up Book, it clearly states you will be be given books for the FIRST TWO CAMPAIGNS, so you are entitled to receive your books, and should be receiving them! Tell Avon you would like your 2nd campaign books free of charge as advised.
Do not order your 2nd campaign books! Order your 3rd campaign books as these will not be provided.
Do not phone Avon, you need to e-mail through Contact Us, as the Call Centre in India, may not understand what is going on and how to resolve it.0 -

You can most certainly go to the Residential Home and ask if anyone would like to see an Avon book, if it is a place with a Warden, you best approach them first to make sure they know who you are and are comfortable with you being on the premises.
As to what samples? They may not want samples, ie hand creams, or products for grandkids, with christmas coming up etc.
Good luck and hope you get lots of orders.0
