Back Ordering - how does this work? For example, a customer has ordered a nail varnish which is £6 in C16 but £3 in C15.
If I order it from C15 aren't I losing out on commission? Or am I being thick?

Will I be able to back order from C15 with C16 being my first campaign?

You should be able to. No, you don't lose out, you will earn on £3, and still make £3 profit on top.

Your ASM will be able to show you.
  • Afternoon everyone

Been out this morning making my deliveries in gorgeous sunshine, its amazing how chatty people are when the weather is so nice.

I am thinking ahead to Christmas and the New Year and was wondering if anyone misses out on doing C1, the dates for my C18 are delivery on the 10th December and then for C1 the submit date is 20th December which only leaves 10 days to get brochures out and back (I have three villages!!) I was going to miss C1 and then start back on C2 but I was wondering will this muck up anything with my Avon account?

I did all 3, as got orders for all 3, they reduce the MOV to and if you don't want to place an order, just order something small like order forms to keep your account active and let your upliner know.
  • Thanks Aureol, no doubt nearer the time I will change my mind I just don't want anyone thinking I am forcing Avon on them especially with the Christmas holidays.
  • Just trying to work out something for promoting Avon parties. Do you know if I'm allowed offer a bottle of wine per party booked with me? They wouldnt be buying it off me so not a licensing issue is it?

    Hi All,
have been reading the thread for a while but never posted! Am a new rep, this is my first campaign! Just did my first drop of books with my mum in tow (she knows a lot of the people in the street already!) got quite a good sense of who was going to order by knocking on doors instead of leaving books, got them all out and still have a few houses to do once I pick the books up on tuesday.
Feeling quite good about it as already have £53 from 2 friends and family orders!
I actually have quite a good ASM also, luckily haven't had a bad a time as some people have. I got 20 books for C16 as well as C17 and also some samples which was good!
Feel quite confident about it all :)
Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely sunshine!
    Finally dealing with debts.
    Amounts owing as of 23/09/2010
    Lloyds o/d - £1446.97 (limit £1500) | Halifax o/d - £218.37 (limit £250) | Mum - £300 | Barclaycard - £684.56 (limit £800) | Vanquis - £163.02 (limit £250) | Topshop - £69.92 | Miss Selfridge - £49.30
    Running total - £2932.14

I wouldn't have thought so - but could be worth offering box of chocs instead if you aren't sure...or saying they get a discount off their own order if they host their own party, or get free avon products - that way its helping your sales figures.

Thought of something else A that you could order to display - the christmas skincare range (body lotion, hand cream & lip balm), they'd make a cute little display and people might buy them as stocking fillers for christmas.

No it won't, but there may be a Rep and/or customer continuity thing going that rewards purchases through the shortened campaigns. Customers may be unhappy if they don't get the chance to be part of that.

something to think about, but you could maybe only do your regular customers, or those that placed an order in C18, give them C1 and C2, or even ask them if they want to see books C1 and C2. Some may say no, saving you time.

I also remember now last year it snowed! It was pretty bad, but me and DS still went out delivering books, collecting books, orders and doing deliveries.
