  • Is there anyone due to put their C1 order in who would be happy to order some C18 things for me and post them? I just want a load of lotus shield on the 3 for £5 offer. Happy to pay by bank transfer to avoid paypal charges or whatever suits. All good if you're trying to get to HOV!!! Please PM me xxx
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???
  • I'll give that a go then hopefully they will get back to me in time thanks x
  • If thats the Iceland turkey crown then you'll be okay. Nice and moist without faffing about for days to defrost. Whip out of the freezer, throw in the oven for a few hours and hassle-free Christmas dinner. We had one last weekend when dad came round for his Christmas Dinner with us (go to MIL's on Christmas Day).

Mind you, getting another one in the freezer just in case too much snow to get to MIL (shame :p). Nice and handy for an emergency.

Not read through the messages after this but thanks for the tip - we have gone for a goose, rolled with stuffing in the middle - should be OK. And yes I am now thinking about getting another one in case we are snowed in on Boxing day!!!
  • you know the clear plastic wallets you can order for your avon brochures, would it be cheaper to buy feezer bags instead? x

The Avon bags work out at 1.6p each. But some are still arriving with holes in (they're being phased out) and I think they're still too short.

I use the ones from Stationary Boxes and Bags (link on first page of this thread under How to distribute your books). They're tougher than supermarket freezer ones and plain so they look nicer. I got 100 for £4.75 which is 4.75p each. You can order more and get them cheaper. I only throw away 2 or 3 of these a campaign.

I can't remember how much the supermarket ones were but it was about 3 at least for 50 (6p each). You could only get packs of 25 so you could never bulk buy to save money. They got ripped up by dogs quite easily, too.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I get mine in bulk from ebay, theres lots of different people selling them and they're all about the same in quality - I find they last pretty well.

Am just too soft. With the weather though I have started using the Betterware mode of doing things i.e. dropping a note off saying how much the order is and giving a two hour slot the following day when I'll be back. Seems to work; customers called me back and left cheques and/or arranged times when they'd be in.

Poor you still waiting for your delivery; hope it comes soon. Sounds like you have enough on your plate this Christmas. Good luck getting it all sorted.

Thats what we've done since we started, everyone was in yesterday (apart from that one awkward person) and others either left the money somewhere safe, or arranged for another day. They soon work out that if they don't let you know, and they aren't in, that they'll only end up havin to contact you to rearrange delivery for another day so they tend to do it in the first place!

  • Well no sign of my delivery yet, but equally nothing to say that it's not coming so I am assuming that no news is good news!

Sorry Missminx - my C1 order has already gone in so I can't help you with your C18 stuff. :( I ordered a spare Lotus Shield off the back of that offer too as I had a customer order just one haircare item.

Am assuming you've already put your own C1 order in i.e. you do know that you can back-order one campaign?

If you have, depending on how many you want, of course, it might work out cheaper to place an additional order? OK you have to hit MOV/HOV again but 'postage' would only be £2.50 i.e. the additional order delivery fee.

    Sorry, if I've misunderstood.

I do it the other way round i.e. use the Avon bags as freezer bags! :rotfl:
