MissyTheCat wrote: »Its Campaign 17 I think - spend £20 on Anew and get free party perfect bag. I managed to get one through creative ordering. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the replies about my order being held everyone. I guess it is my fault as I submitted my order late but thought I would be told straight away if it was held. I didn't actually know there was more money outstanding as I am on a payment plan and have got in a bit of a muddle. I wish I'd have known earlier as I submitted my order on Sunday, and if I'd been told yesterday it was held I could have paid on Monday and it would have been here on time. Better contact all my customers and let them know xxx
Would someone with cat 17 be able to check this for me, that its the right code for free bag and right products ordered?

Hi MiniLaura
I provide online links to all the brochures and HTs post 9, first page
it is page 97, free party perfect bag when you spend £20 or more on Anew, one product to be Anew skincare, pages 92-95 and 98-113 code 690620 -
MissyTheCat, as long as you pay for your order by debit/credit card the day after your order was due in, and pay it by 10am, it should still be delivered on your usual delivery day. If it is paid after that, it will be delivered 2-3 days later.
So if my order has to be in on the 29th of November, does this mean the previous one needs paying for by 10am on the 30th of November?
I thought we only had 10 days from submitting order to payment being due?0 -
I'm having a headache...
can anyone clarify for me if I am allowed to do Avon while getting SMP from another employer? I'm on A/L before mat leave at the moment and will be until 1st december but am finding conflicting info on the internet. Getting worried nowI thought you were okay to do self employed work while on SMP?

chasingsunshine - I have no idea im afraid but cant you phone the tax office or someone like that just to get it clarified. Make sure you take the persons name and the date you spoken to them just in case. HTH0

missminx - I'm still not 100% on leaflet-dropping outside your territory so I'd get some confirmation from your ASM or SL. If they say it's not okay, ask why the school is getting away with doing it. If they stay off your current territory, it still effects you if you want to expand. I don't see why they should be allowed to do something if other reps aren't.
You say they've done a second mail-shot already? That must be costing quite a bit. A garden I volunteer at did a mailshot on a large village and that cost at least £200, maybe more (was definitely in the hundreds). That price included delivery. Who's doing the mail-shot? It must take a while to cover a village. If they're relying on volunteers, they aren't under any obligation to be reliable. People might be keen now but it won't necessarily last.
I'd ring up the number on the flyers and pretend to be a potential customer. Find out how you get a brochure, give in orders, get deliveries, do returns. If any of these involve going into the school rather than going to your home you can tell your customers that you're much more convenient for them than dealing with the school. Will the school insist you collect on a set day?
Oh, and see if the person you're speaking to knows what they're talking about. You might be put through to the rep, but you might be onto the school secretary who can't really offer advice to customers. I'm having to ring schools as part of my volunteering and the teacher I'm after is never available. If the teacher's the rep, how are people going to speak to them?
Like Aureol's said, this could become a major logistical operation for the school, needing lots of volunteers. On delivery day they'll need to put the boxes somewhere and room to sort them out. If people come to the school are they happy to have random people going into the building? I was at primary school in the early 90s and security's probably improved since then, but even so some schools (big Victorian ones) don't have one secure entrance where there's a reception and you have to sign in. My primary school had 3 entrances and you had to walk through the school to get to the office. If delivery is to your home, that's going to involve lots of volunteers. I do one corner of a village and that's enough for me to deal with, and I need my husband to help with deliveries. Then those volunteers are going to have to go back to people who aren't in etc etc... It can be a pain when you're a rep but at least you keep the money at the end. Even for a good cause, some volunteers who agree to help out are going to get sick of it or have other commitments which might lead to customers getting let down.
I'm not saying bad-mouth the school(as tempted as you might be), but you'll probably be more convenient for people and you can say Avon's your focus.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

I think you can do this in a specific way. When on Mat leave you are allowed KIT days (keep in touch) I think it is 10. So try to find out if you can have KIT days to Avon. PM me if you need help, will try for youStill looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???0 -
Chasingsunshine...Just found the info on DWP website it won't let me post a link as I am new but if you search the following on their website - NI17A - A guide to Maternity Benefits
Working in your Maternity Pay Period
If you are getting SMP from one employer and, before your baby is born, you do some work for another employer, your SMP is not affected.
Your SMP will stop if after the baby is born but before the end of the Maternity Pay Period, you work for an employer who did not employ you in the qualifying week. It is your responsibility to tell the employer paying you SMP about your new job. You must do this as soon as possible, and make sure you return any SMP payment you get that covers the week you started work and any part of the period after you resumed work.
If you do any work in a self-employed capacity during your MPP, then such work will not affect your SMP.0 -
Oh thank you both
So I'm okay then. Phew! Was sure I had read that a few months ago but couldnt find it again and kept seeing posts that sais you couldnt. Thank goodness for that!
Thanks again for you help!0
