I bought cellophane and ribbons to do my own gift sets at the school Xmas fair (which I now can't do ) in my haste and thinking I was clever I bought some lovely bows, only it turns out that they don't come ready done  Guess who didn't read properly!! I hope my florist friend can assist ;)
    Anyone arty'n'crafty you can ask??

**second time of writing as my ds just deleted the first one ** lol
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

these bows, you have to pull the strings and they bundle up, but so fiddly! and mine doesn't look like the picture as I pulled it too tight. oh well, who cares, hey!

    lol at your DS.

I know I could ask on the crafting board, but I cheat when doing baskets and don't buy fancy bows. Just use ribbon, and a pair of scissors to make them curl. Wanted to a pic and put on fb but phone needs charging.

Looking around don't really have many xmas gifts to buy, there seemed to be a lot when I was ordering! I think though I want people to more have an idea of what it looks like so they will buy and do their own.

bought too much £1 stuff though! Hope I can shift it all.

My friend is doing manicures tonight, and I will have the raffle, have food, going to prep my books now, so they will be out on table with order forms, thanks cutiepiebf, going to have music, they will have to listen to my cds unfortunately!

Will have £1/£2 box. Going to have some products so people can smell and feel, some of the handcreams, body lotions, showergels. And got some face creams.

remember Lucyclare saying she didn't have too much stuff to buy just demo products to test and get sales.

but thinking about fete on friday, people will probably want to buy more than give orders.

    oh so confusing!
  • Well delivery had finally arrived so just got to check it off. Having a quick look through and the Champagne glasses aren't there. Shame as they have advertised them on EVERY box I got. Grrrrr.
  • OH just decided the camera would be perfect for his mother for Xmas... He would decide a week AFTER my order went in  and it says 'please allow 6 weeks for delivery' in HT for it
Still looking for the plot...... Anyone seen it???

missminx, ordering on Wed, do you want me to order for you?
  • Well, just checked my order, and it seems to be missing 3 items, they're on the invoice but not in any of the blinking boxes, this is only my 2nd order and the 1st had an item missing, luckily that was only for a friend and this time round 2 of the missing things are for me and one's for a friends order.

But I've read a few people on here getting things in the box that aren't mentioned on their orders - well looks like you're getting my things!! Why can't I have the freebies rather than the missing things??

And another thing while I'm on a rant - I ordered the £12.50 sample pack, why cant they pack them all together? rather than scattering them through all the boxes I've had delivered, sure they do that so you don't bother checking what they've sent you.

wish they had packed the basket stuff with the basket! Had 10 boxes to look through
  • Just a question about the Cash4Christmas promotion? I have had a quick look at the Avon website, and couldn't see anything on there.

I've been putting the bookmarks in my Campaign 18 books and someone asked me how it worked, so I had a look at the website it directs you to. It seems that if a customer orders £12 or more, I give them a card with a code on, so they can enter it on the internet, to see it they've won.

Does anyone know any more about it please? How does it work? When do you get the cards? Sorry for all the questions!
