Hi Ladies
Thank you for all your kind words and motivation!! The cold is a bit better today, just cough cough coughing now!
Work still not very interested - but I had a phonecall from a lady on the street last night asking if she ordered could I get it to her on the 20th....sadly the order doesn't come until 21st. But she did say make sure I pop round tomorrow to pick the book up and would I continue dropping books off
Also got a text from one of the mums at school to say she'll bring her order round tomorrow!:)
So I kicked myself up the bum and got the rest of my books out tonight!
Fingers crossed for when I pick up my other books tomorrow!Avon Representative October 2010: C16: £276 :T C17: £297 :j0 -
I'm annoyed with Avon at the moment. My husband finally got his delivery on Friday, only five days late. Then when he checked it after he got back from work, he found that they hadn't sent any brochure 17s. He had ordered 8 packs. So he phoned over the weekend and they said someone would get back to him within two days. Well they have just rung him now and said none were ordered and none were invoiced. Because it is me who runs the account for him and sorts all the paperwork, he didn't know what to say. Now I have a copy of the invoice in front of me and it definitely says 8 packs of 17 and they have been invoiced. I think they are getting confused as on Friday he received both a normal order and an additional order, so I have a feeling they are just looking at the additional order which correctly didn't have any brochure 17s on.
Hubby is now at work and is really busy so can't really ring them back until later, but by then, it will be too late to sort out more books and it means that we will probably have been waiting 2 weeks for these books to arrive.
Sorry just had to have a whinge. I am off to write a complaint email to Avon on behalf of my husband.
Hi Rachelet,
I'm no expert but have you tried logging in and then emailing Avon via the connect us part at the bottom? I have used this twice and have got things sorted quite quickly.
Alternativly could you try your ASM / Sales leader, explain and ask them if they could lend you some books until yours arrive & then you can give them your books when they get here.
Hope you get it sorted xC10 - £150.49 C11 - £215.77 C12 - £299.27 C13 - £446.49  C14 - £323.95

I did send them an email via the website just after I had a moan on here. Have spoken to hubby this evening and he said the woman on the phone was basically saying that someone signed for the delivery so it should have been noticed then that the books were missing. And also that no books were ordered and none were invoiced. He said she was very rude and kept saying but the delivery was signed for and why sign for it if stuff is missing. At that point he should have turned round and said, next time I will open all the boxes, check the entire order, and then only sign for it when I am happy that everything is there. Bet the delivery driver would be happy about waiting around whilst the order is checked.
Hopefully the email will get it sorted. I just want hubby to have a campaign where there are no problems with delivery.DD1 born May 2002, DD2 born Dec 2005, DS born Dec 2008. Baby due May 2010! TEAM PINK!!

Hi
Can't seem to get motivated to do Avon at the moment..... Has anybody got any ideas what to do?. Am on my 4th Campaign. I don't seem to get any big orders at the moment. My last order came to £20.00. Am not sure whether to carry on doing it or not. I will probably order something from campaign 16, as I fancy a couple of items from HT, but that will be it though.
Have you tried a special offer ie spend £15 / £20 and get a free gift?
Introduce a friend and get a free gift?
My customers are waiting out to spend more money on Xmas gifts over the next couple of brochures, maybe yours are to?!
Some people maybe "testing" you by only placing small orders to see how reliable you are and to see if you ate going to stick at it, especially if they have had an unreliable rep previously. It took a while before my customers started placing larger orders (after lots if small ones testing my reliability!)C10 - £150.49 C11 - £215.77 C12 - £299.27 C13 - £446.49  C14 - £323.95

I got my first "network" potential customer today. She's on one of the streets I was allocated only to find a rep already did it. I dropped a C14 back there about 3 weeks ago but they were on holiday so she rang me to today to say I could pick it up. I told her there was no need because it's expired, but I asked if she'd like books in future and she said yes because she has never had a book delivered before. I've e-mailed my ASM to find out exactly what I'm doing with the whole street. Is it mine? Was it deallocated from the other rep because it appears they haven't been canvassing. They have 1 customer that I know of, but I got the impression from other people that they haven't seen a book at all or in a long time. I might go back to another house on that street (if it's not my territory) because they read the last one. If it is my territory I'll do it as normal even though they've now missed a campaign because of the confusion. I "stepped off", as it were, when I thought another rep was actively doing the whole street.
I've also got my first Anew customer (excluding my mum, but I got her some HT stuff and the cheapest possible deal on brochure things). They've gone for the Platinum, too, in addition to a couple of other products. My guess is that they're ordering for more than one person. I also know the customer in a round-about way: she's the daughter of my neighbour and lives about 30 miles away. So what I'll do is give a brochure to the neighbour every time he visits, let her post, phone or e-mail her order, let her keep the brochure for as long as possible (2 campaigns), then give my neighbour the products for the next time he sees them. I've got a cheque, but if things are out of stock I'm comfortable giving my neighbour the products and collecting the cash later.I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for.I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

How will I know if someone else is covering the ones I pick without spending ages knocking on doors? I didnt get the impression its the norm to have to find your own territory. I've wasted a load of brochures in 15 & now 16 as I ordered the amount she recommended to me to cover territory which I didnt even end up with and STILL dont have. I have 8 days left of C16, I dont know this area well (not long moved here) and am now wondering where to start with chosing territory...
*sigh*
Also just read that I'm supposed to get brochures for 2nd campaign free?! I didnt... had to buy them in first order. So much for signing up through a SL and not online so I'd have some support...
From what I understand, you should be allocated territory, but it doesn't always seem that easy as you are discovering. Do you know who your ASM is? Perhaps you could send an email direct asking for some territory to be allocated?
Alot of reps have had to find their territory by using questionnaires & door knocking, not the ideal & very time consuming but often necessary.C10 - £150.49 C11 - £215.77 C12 - £299.27 C13 - £446.49  C14 - £323.95

ASM's are the one who allocate territory after the initial sign up. I have told ChasingSunshine to call or e-mail her ASM for territory.
Yes, it is not right what I have been reading on this forum that people are door knocking to find out if territory is free because the ASM cannot allocate territory as they are not sure what is available.0 -

I hope you complained about this woman from your husband! That is so rude! I am not home when my delivery is made, my neighbour is good enough to take it in for me. So am I supposed to give a list to my neighbour, saying please ensure all these items are in the boxes and books before you sign for it!!!!:mad::mad:
And yes you are right, the courier is paid by boxes they deliver, imagine how much money they would lose out on waiting!0 -
Work still not very interested -
keep taking books into work, leave them on your desk, talk about Avon, wear the products, carry the products, etc.
They will come round. Where I work there is already an Avon Rep, but she is quite rude! I was promoting Avon products, telling people I work with what is good and would be good for them, not asking them to buy from me, but to order from her, and she came out and said these are my customers, don't be taking them.
Well, she has upset one of "her" customers by not giving her a book, so I gave her one, with the Christmas Gift Guide, and got a £37 order from her! She thought it was £50 but I told her she had missed a promotion, so her order was only £37, she was very pleased, and I have told her she qualifies for free gifts as a new customer....:D
So don't give up.0
