Some of you know me & oh had a hard time a few months ago, his grandad ill in hospital, mine dying then a week later loosing his grandad too, who was like a father to him. I'd bottled everything up at the time to be strong for Oh, but today at work I got stressed out - workin in a different department where they've put me in the deep end - basically follow these instructions and you'll be ok....it got too much and I was sick (always have a weak stomach!) so came home. We talked and realised it wasn't a stomach bug, so went the doctors. Dr says it's perfectly normal - bereavement related stress and trouble adjusting - because I bottled it up...so now I can't cope with a change at work. Glad to know I'm depressed, he said have a few days off work, and try and talk and cry to let it out.

Just got to try and explain to my boss, a man with the sensitivity of an ant, that I can't deal with working in a different lab at the moment, which will be fun!

I'm so sorry to hear bout your loses so hugs to both of you, i know its not easy ive been through the same thing as its horrible, but with support from family and friends and especially your OH you will get through it you just need time to yourself where you can talk, scream and cry anything you wana do! forget about work for a while and concentrate on yourself, and as for your boss I just hope he listens and takes on board what you say!

    to you both xxx

Sending you a big hug from me and Teo! You defo need some time out hon, and I'm so glad you have a lovely supportive OH. I'm really sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable earlier, as soon as I asked what was up and got back in the car I kicked myself! If you don't feel better in a few days I would defo go back to the docs and get signed off from work for stress/anxiety/depression. When I was pregnant my work were really horrible to me and my doc was so sympathetic and signed me off for four weeks for stress, don't worry about work it's YOU that matters! If I can help with anything let me know, and I will try not to bother you with any Avon issues for the forseable future. Lots and lots of love xxx

Thanks Hun. No you didn't, didn't know what was up really till I went the docs, saw both mil and gran in law and we didn't tell them either just that I was going the docs. Dreading speaking to my boss later but oh said he'll ring first and explain what the doc said before I speak to him cos having to ring isn't going to help. It's not a problem Hun helping, still let me know, it does me good - my reps are lovely and say thanks when I help - work is crap and just expects too much with no thanks.

(((((((((((((((((((Lozza)))))))))))))))) take the time you need and rest and cry, and whatever you need to do to feel better. It is hard what you have been through and you have done so well to be so strong for so long.

Not to detract from you, but my Deputy Manager, at the job I hate, because of him, we had yet another crisis yesterday, I had already told him there was a problem, and once again, he chose to ignore it, rather than deal with it. So it has now escalated. He sat there and put his head in his hands and said he was stressed and he could not cope with this anymore. I just laughed at him, I had to! His job is not stressful, the situation is not stressful, if he had dealt with it when I had highlighted it, it would not have escalated!

What you have been through is stress and that is real stress. Not doing your job like he doesn't do, causes it's own problems as he found out yesterday.

Good luck with talking with your boss, and I hope for a change he is reasonable and understands and listens to you.
  • I've got the offer for a free skincare kit as well - I thought it was to do with being new, but mine doesn't show on the subtotal page either - I was also confused so I'm glad it wasn't just me!

I whizzed past HOV yesterday which I was delighted about - am now up to £189 which for my first campaign I'm very happy with!

Going Well! Glad to see some of my old customers are coming up trumps too - ASM has had 3 months to find them a reliable replacement after all ;)

As to the freebies, you should find that you can get your invoice up online 2 or 3 days after your order date, so you can check it then.

And dodgy hugs :grouphug: to everyone having a rough time at the moment. Went through one myself a while back, so can confirm you'll come out the other side ;)

Thanks - it was my Avon birthday!

Delivery came today, 6 boxes to sort out later. I am having a grumpy day today as I think I am getting a cold. I though that yesterday as well, so now I just wish it would get a move on!!

Hugs to Lozza, look after yourself, work will cope. Looking after yourself is more important, you have been through so much that I'm not surprised your body has said "stop!".
