Some of you know me & oh had a hard time a few months ago, his grandad ill in hospital, mine dying then a week later loosing his grandad too, who was like a father to him. I'd bottled everything up at the time to be strong for Oh, but today at work I got stressed out - workin in a different department where they've put me in the deep end - basically follow these instructions and you'll be ok....it got too much and I was sick (always have a weak stomach!) so came home. We talked and realised it wasn't a stomach bug, so went the doctors. Dr says it's perfectly normal - bereavement related stress and trouble adjusting - because I bottled it up...so now I can't cope with a change at work. Glad to know I'm depressed, he said have a few days off work, and try and talk and cry to let it out.
Just got to try and explain to my boss, a man with the sensitivity of an ant, that I can't deal with working in a different lab at the moment, which will be fun!
Aww Lozza((((((((hugs))))))))
It sounds like you could do with a break to be honest. Could you not get the Dr to sign you off for a bit so you can catch up with some you time? You have had an awful lot to deal with.Just a quick question I have been a rep for about 4 months now and have been reading through some posts on here and it says that you need to register as self employed is this true? Avon don't say anything about this when joining....Even if your earning £10-£20 a time? I'm only doing it every now and again and am not making much on it!
Obviously if I do need to register I best do it asap!!
Thanks in advance!
Lisa x:)
Hi Lisa, Yes you do need to register self employed, even for a tiny amount of money, and also fill out a form for NI if you dont want to pay that (small earnings form, if you phone up they are really helpful)
If not you could get a fine, so I understand not worth it to not declare it.
HTHChasingsunshine - Where are you in the country as I need extra books for my new roads so could come collect if you are not too far. Im in West Drayton, Middlesex.I'd post them to you if it wouldnt cost a bomb. I'll weigh some in a bit and check on RM. WOuld rather someone got use of them than have them sitting in my hallway doing nothing x

Thanks, oh asked doc should if I should have some time off and doc said yes, ring in and say it's a stomach bug or something if I don't want to tell them...I'm ill a lot with stomach bugs anyway lol and I'll have to tell them anyway so that they don't put me in the other lab for a bit. Had hoped the doc would sign me off but hey ho works got no choice I'll be no use for a bit anyway.Avon Lady since 2009 - I help on the Avon hints & tips thread to help other reps/new sales leaders as I was helped so much by it when I first started out :A0

Take a few days then see how you are. If you need more time go back and ask if they can sign you off because you need more time.
Stress + work = more stress which could develop further and nobody wants that. Be honest with GP and they'll understand.
Dont feel guilty about work either. Have loads of chill time now. Look after yourself xx0 -
Oh Lozza I know how you feel as have been there myself xx Do go back to the docs if you need more time off and even see if he can send you for some counselling if you need it.
Have just been and collected brochures from my new road, a few people not in and hadnt left books out, a couple dont want to receive anymore books but had 2 orders :j not bad out of 20 houses, managed to post books to the remaining 10 houses in the road to pick up on friday.
Total for C17 now standing at £87.50 with my road to collect tomo and my cousins work still to come in as well as F&F0 -

Just been on the phone to Avon. Submitted my order last night and had a call from one of my customers today (she was supposed to call me yesterday but didn't and I couldn't get hold of her) with an order for £45  Avon won't add it to my regular order as it has already been sent for printing or something
So anyway, I happened to remember that I had seen an email from Avon saying free delivery today only with code "POST" so I have gone through quidco and bought it from avon online. Hence 10% commission to me and no P&P charges instead of paying £2.50 for the privilege of being a rep!!! Very happy now as I have made a little bit of money and will be keeping my customer happy (part of her order was from people at her work so hopefully some new customers too
)
Everyone loves a bargain :beer:0 -

Sending you a big hug from me and Teo! You defo need some time out hon, and I'm so glad you have a lovely supportive OH. I'm really sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable earlier, as soon as I asked what was up and got back in the car I kicked myself! If you don't feel better in a few days I would defo go back to the docs and get signed off from work for stress/anxiety/depression. When I was pregnant my work were really horrible to me and my doc was so sympathetic and signed me off for four weeks for stress, don't worry about work it's YOU that matters! If I can help with anything let me know, and I will try not to bother you with any Avon issues for the forseable future. Lots and lots of love xxx0 -

I whizzed past HOV yesterday which I was delighted about - am now up to £189 which for my first campaign I'm very happy with!
Its for new reps who sign up between campagin 16 and 18 (if i recall rightly!), nah wasnt just you! hopefully it will show up on invoice for something! not as if im able to use it maybe in 10 years time!! so think I may just give it as a free gift to someone who comes in the age bracket of 30!!
well done on reaching your HOV! i will be very lucky to reach that! im on £88.51 and ive had 6 weeks as was given the wrong order dates etc! not having much luck with the territory atm! so thinking i may leave some at the school and classes i go to with the kids I look after! found that leaving books on the table at home has worked as the OH brother has mates come round and some are female and they always pick up a book to have a look! so wil be leaving books out more often!!:rotfl:0
