    For this line -
The cr and p room, use c without c,
To find the old wood where a man runs, you'll see.

I was thinking that the room name probably ends in sea or sey and starts with Cr, and you've got to take off the 'sea' to find where this wood is. I tried the gazetteer of place names that was posted last time and also a surname site to see if I could find anything that might match that but I've had no luck yet. The nearest I got was Chelwood from Chelsea but obviously that doesn't fit Cr.

St Peter's Terrace looks so close, if only it had rooms matching the letters we'd be laughing. I really like the Aman River idea too but it doesn't seem to run through a forest or anywhere else that fits the letters. It just seems to be the Amman Valley.

    :)

I didn't think of that. I was thinking that if for example, it was the Charles R... and P room, then we would be looking for harles wood. (not that there is one, but you get my drift).

For the CR and P room, I can't get out of my head the Christopher Robin and Pooh rooms! But I don't think that there is a Hristopher Wood either :-)

lol you're probably right about just taking the letter c off and I'm overcomplicating, but it's nice to have something I can try and search for that isn't in the Peak District! Because cr doesn't have a space I haven't thought of it as being separate words, but you never know with cashhunt.

I wonder where kragen and bond have got to this month?

Been busy - totally forgot about it - I haven't read this thread but am I right in thinking you have solved it already, or are you still stuck on something?

    Welcome to Mayhem.

We're still stuck on everything! Personally, the only part that I really find is correct is this post from TheKiss:-

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=37128930&postcount=11

Which takes us to Carsington Water.

    Any suggestions gratefully received.

It might be an idea not to even read through the thread. At least that way, you'll be looking at it from a totally different perspective.

  • Marg is lucky to have Christopher robin and pooh in her head, Im avoiding lowering the tone but cant avoid telling you Ive got stuck in my head the first four letters CR a p ROOM, :o a casino link at best :D

Fine work so far you guys btw. I really like the pegasus post and thought.

Looking at all streets in peterboro with animal names still.

COWper st (v central)> William Cowper poet > Famous poem/Rhyme? one ends in The Lamb> The Lamb inn/hotel in peterboro dates back to middle ages.

    Crane Street.

Horsegate and Horsegate lane ( nr the salvation army)

Am very puzzled now though :rotfl:

If it's of any help to you, there's a pdf with Peterborough street names on here

I'm having a break from it for a few days, I've barely done any other competitions because I've spent far too long on it, it's hard to switch off from it though, keeps going around in my brain! :o
  • I have also been looking at animal street names in Peterborough, more specifically animals that fly at night (I can't get past this sedan chair/fly-by-night link I mentioned before - I still think it's good even if nobody else does!).

    Found Owl End Walk.

Now to find somewhere to meet that rhymes with this, that has a "cr and p room". Not getting anywhere though.

Looks to me like cr and p are abbreviations or codes for something (doubt it would be chromium and phosphorus, but maybe louder and quiet?)...

This is doing my head in :(

Owl End Walk is in a village, just outside Peterborough called Yaxley.
