I think its still quite warm down here in the SW. Long may it continue!
  • It was cold last night and all the winter duvets are on the beds plus fleece blankets if needed. I wouldn't put the heating on, I told everyone to wear their cardi's or dressing gowns and put their slippers on and we all had an early night with our hot water bottles - lovely, I had the best night's sleep in ages
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Not Buying it 2015!
  • Still off here, although DH has just said he might put it on - I said no! The winter duvets are going on today, and we have plenty of blankets for sofa snuggling. I work from home and spend a lot of time sat at my computer so I have considered buying those USB fingerless gloves - might have to if I get too cold. My target is to last through to November without the heating, but I won't do it if we get too miserable.

Ive been outside all morning doing jobs, but its now turned cold and poor hubby said put the heating on, he now has DVT and on clexane and warfarin to thin the blood and apparently thin bloods makes you feel the cold............

So its going to be an expensive winter to start the heating in September, well we are nearly October now........

So the temp inside is now 21 degrees and outside its 15 .......

I've given in, if only to get some washing dried... But it's only on at 16deg so it only clicks in now and again. We are layering today :D

Wanted to keep it off until October but given in because I'm so fed up of washing not drying! I've also just washed two winter coats instead of dry cleaning and am keen for them to dry without being totally ruined so I figure I've saved about £8/coat there anyway.

Oh yes...and despite the heating I'm cold! Wearing socks, trackie bottoms, a strappy vest top, a long sleeved top and a dressing gown!

The central heating isn't on but I do admit to using the fan heater when we get dressed and undressed :o Our rented place is so badly insulated that it wouldn't make much of a difference unless we put the heating on constantly (the heat escapes very quickly).
