Mine is still off. The room thermostat is reading 17 so that's a drop from 20 only last week

Today was lovely and sunny but I think in the next few days things will get a little colder.

Trying to hang out til October

We have an all electric house with storage heaters rather than central heating. We have one heater on in the lounge for comfort, but all the others are off. That's a fair compromise when you get up and there's a frost.

Ours isn't on yet but it won't be long. I gave up a few nights ago and put the fire on for an hour as I'd changed into fleecy pj's, dressing gown, socks and a fleece blanket and was still cold.

Thermostat's reading 19 degrees in the living room at the moment biut i've had the oven on for an hour earlier so it's not too bad....

Still off, despite us all suffering from a dreadful cold that is doing the rounds. Now we sit with a sleeping bag over our knees to watch TV. :rotfl:

Switched to the silk stuffed lightweight duvet from a bedspread last night.

I've been using the convector heater gradually more & more the past fortnight, bit the bullet 3 days ago and started turning some of the storage heaters on :-(
Not happy, hoped to last into Oct before I had to do that.

Last week I put mine on to kick in for an hour in the morning 6.30-7.30 if it's below the lowest setting- It's fired up once so far. But other than that we are in swathes of fleecy blankets, the children's beds have been changed to winter duvets (they had both found their sleeping bags one night and wrapped up in those - which I took as a hint that things needed sorting out!), and I'll be sewing my winter/summer duvet system together tonight.....

it's 16 degrees in the house right now.
    :AA/give up smoking (done) :)
  • Ours is still off. Hubby is too tight to let me put it on. I've been sat dithering during the day but the one day he is working outside and says how cold he is, suddenly he wants to put the heating on.

    I said no! lol
  • Mine is still off. Yesterday evening was the first time i felt a bit of a chill and today in house, but its really not cold enough to justify turning the storage heaters on, was hoping to last till first week of Nov., not sure i will though, we will see.
