Still got heating on today while it's 6 deg outside but just saw forecast and they are saying could be up to 17 deg by Thursday - here's hoping! Heating may go off tomorrow, it's not working properly anyway.
Don't do a me Kirri and leave it,we could still have more cold snaps. Not nice,it's ok leaving the heating off when you know that switch is there to put on if you need to,i found i was extra cold when the heating went,i think it was all in my head:D if i could have swithced it on i would have been ok.0 -

Hmm I run the risk, as it's not working properly, that if I try and change the setting or turn it off/on it goes into a period of clicking and not working so maybe I should leave it on a day or two more in case..
I was ok ish at a temp lower than this before I put it on, but now it's on it's harder to cope turning it off!0 -
There was snow on the ground here this morning, so my heating is on for the time being. DH is disabled, so it's a case of having to, I'm afraid.0

It has been on this evening as it has gone really cold outside. Was off during the day, though, as the sun was warming the house up again.
I have my showers in the evening now and get up and go straight out to work in the mornings, so I don't need to have the heating on in the morning, not that it was on for much anyway.
Tonight is going to be a hotwater bottle night!31.5/1000 -
Off and not been on so far this year. No hot water either due to a none working boiler. Checked my leccy meter yesterday to see the damage from my electric fire and convector heaters and my guestimate is about £180 total in the last two months to maintain about 12 to 14C. To top it all off, now my microwave has broken, so even heating up food/drinks for a little warmth is even more difficult.0

Heating back off thankfully, need to keep the next bill down so hope it stays mild!0

It has been a lovely sunny day here and when we took the infants out at lunchtime most of us just had our jumpers or cardigans on. It was unbelievably warm for February. At 4 o'clock most of the children in the after school club abandoned even their cardigans. Mind you they had been running around like mad things for a good hour or so and had got hot.
The heating has been on now for an hour or so though because it has turned more chilly.0 -
Ours is off today, we have no thermostat or any trvs on the radiators so it just kind of keeps chugging away never clicking off at a certain temp, we didn't do too badly over winter considering we kept forgetting it was on, but our bill should even out a bit from now as we're just putting the gas fire on a little bit since I have penned it off from the rabbits although they now love to be sprawled out in front of it and go and sit there until I turn it on! Very very spoilt rabbits!:rotfl:
Anyway it's been really mild here today so I'm looking forward to getting started on our garden this year and drying the washing outdoors simple pleasures!House deposit 15/15k hurrah!
Currently awaiting mortgage decision0 -
&%*$**^$ off like hell.
Dec-Jan bill was around £95.00 - this is for a 2 bed flat where I live by myself.
Thought, oh well, had my mother visiting over Xmas (baking), daugher and her b/f over for few days - extra baths, heating etc...
Was looking for ward to next bill, Jan - Feb.
And got the damn thing, yesterda... 106.67 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is for ONE month for both gas/electric combined.
Based on my own reading from the meters so not estimated so correct.
HOW?
And I thought I was so careful with having heating on lower than normal and being whole month just by myself....
Jesussssssssssssssssssssssssss grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr0
