Is your heating ON or OFF?

Freezing cold here, so heating has been on all day with thermostat set to 19, which feels very comfortable. Left it on all night last night as the night before the pipe to the shower froze. I don't think tonight will be so cold, so will probably switch off at about 10.30, before we go to bed. When it's this cold, I'd rather spend a bit more to keep warm, and have a small contingency fund for this purpose.0

Woodburner is going and we have a couple of oil radiators on low but at least we are not using the heating oil which is the main thing.
Id be forever going outside to check the oil tank to see how much ive used if I had OCH, thats dam scary what they charge for it, seems to me they think of a number a double it..:eek:..So not fair to try to keep warm at oil prices, I dont believe theres any such thing as "summer prices", anymore....................We had one helluver frost this morning and then it snow for half hour, then it rained and everywhere was black sheet ice,:eek:...Not good at all, so my heating is on and has been all day.......I cant be cold I get really miserable when im cold and im not nice to be near...:mad::eek::mad:Keep warm folks....0 -

I agree too, ive got thick bed wear on and my heating is at 20 tonight, yet I dont feel what you call warm at 20 ..............Could really do with clicking heating up a notch or two but im off to bed soon so I wont bother now......0 -
Turned the control from all day to auto, but changed the 7.30am start to 6am as I have to be up by 6.30am, early for me! Will see what the weather does after that0

Oh, it's so much milder now than it was last week, thank goodness. I've had the windows flung wide-open all afternoon to give this place a really good airing. They're just ajar now that it's got dark. Still, the thermostat says it's 15 degrees in here now so a fleece is being worn and no heating will be required. HOORAY!0

Well, it's on here as despite it having been sunny today and thermometer reading warmer there's a cold wind and the house feels freezing. I've got layers on but put in on at 4.30pm. Didn't help either that I was cold at work.0

I'm just about to go and turn it right down/off. It's 20 degrees in here - that's far too hot for us. 18 is comfortable for us now.
