Is your heating ON or OFF?

I had been having mine on for a hour here and there when I got really cold but have now begrudgingly put it on timer for the mornings just because there is so much condensation after our morning showers and I'm fed up of having a soggy bathroom. Only 1 hour at 17c but the steam cleared much more quickly today.0

The good news is that after panicking that my entire load of oil had been stolen, after my boiler didn't work, then moving a load of stuff out of the way.......... I have discovered... I still have about 900 litres of oil! Hurrah!
The other good news, that after some detective work, I discovered a reset switch on the boiler and it now works! Why don't plumbers tell you that on the phone?
So heating not on, but woodburners been on 4 or 5 times.
Warm now though, so nothing.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

For the past 2 weeks I have had either the gas fire on lowest setting or the electric radiator on all day. Today as it seems much colder it's been both. Some power cuts today due to high winds as wellThank-you to everyone who posts comps :beer:0

They come on Monday - cant wait!0 -
Our heating has not been on at all so far, but I've had to put the heater on in the spare room to warm it up. I've got a customer coming for a corset fitting tomorrow and can't expect her to strip off in the cold
It'll be switched off again the minute she leaves though!Making magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.0 -
Had the heating on twice last week, for about an hour each time as I was ill and my flatmate's room was very cold. That room has two external walls so it gets cold more easily than the rest of the house. Flatmate is not here this week and I'm not ill anymore so the heating has been off. House a comfortable 16-18C even with the outside temperature going to 2C. Not bad at all!GC September 2012 - £49.04/£80 |GC October 2012 - £50.28/£80 |GC November £63.59/£60 (one adult only)0

Not had mine on yet Holding out a bit longer. It's 12C in my living room. Starts to feel cold when it gets down to 10C. I've got gas fires and gas CH so I'm loath to let those robbing gas companies have much of my money! Hope to get a wood burner next year as I have a free supply of wood.0
