On - As usual - Its barely been off this year - Its cold up North here! - I have just turned it up to 20 degrees plus, and timed it to be on about an hour in morning, and about 4 hours in evenings, including water the same; and with Gas to cook too, plus a gas fire for those extra cold nights, I pay just under £100 a month all year round, and have just had the unexpected bonus of a £200 refund (thanks N Power!) ♥ I am budgeting for around another £20 a month this year with the fuel increases - but I'd rather be skint than cold!

I don't suppose we can complain, we've been exceptionally lucky really in the main, with the weather.

Hasn`t it been strange, first we had the cold snap where all the leaves started to come off the trees early and then it warmed right up.

We still have leaves on quite a few of the trees here although they are almost all brown and autumn shades now. Some things are flowering in the garden too, lots of plants are mixed up with the changes in the weather. It really seems more like September than November :D

Hopefully when we do get a proper full on winter time it won`t last too long - well i can hope can`t i :D

I'll be honest and say I have found the weather this year unnerving...the very early heat in spring, then through the summer little warmth, little rain and very little warmth, and that u nrelenting wind. The indian summer was very welcome, and I keep thinking however bad winter is it can't last that long til spring kicks it out....

Its been a beautiful day here today the sun was shining as soon as light appeared, temp was only 12 degrees outside but with the sun shining it always feels a tad warmer, got all the washing line dried again, no heating on today temp now reads 19 indoors so thats a ok temp , and dont need any heat...............

I just keep thinking all of a sudden its going to be so cold , this weather surely cant keep up...!!.....

Lets all keep our fingers crossed that winter forgets to arrive this year, or if it's just late it still departs on time :D The only downside I have experienced is I've had to cut the grass AGAIN :rotfl: Oh and the weeds are germinating apace:p I wonder if all these plants that are doing weird things now (flowering again, sending new shoots etc) will still do their thing next year, I do hope so. It would be a shame to pay for this mild weather with no flowers next year :(

My house is a cold one, so I have had to have the heating on a little, but nowhere near the norm for this time of year. It clicked on about an hour or so ago, but I think the house is to temperature now because the boilers gone off again. It certainly feels nice and toasty :D And no damp now that I have my lovely shiny dehumidifier :j

Still off! Like to claim the credit, but it's the weather really.

But I did see a neighbours wood stove going great guns when I got home from school with the kids and was really jealous.
I did suggest to everyone, of going round there for an impromptu visit :D But on second thoughts, we'll save that till it gets really cold :D

It is crazy, my sunflower is still in full flower and the tomatoes are still fruiting (greenhouse), I've got potatoes and peas growing again from this years crop, lots of stuff shooting that shouldn't be. It's not going to do them much good I think.
My Purple sprouting broc has also started shooting, months early.

Still off for me but not sure how long we can hold off if it begins to get chillier as forecast, Son just came down stairs in his woolly coat and socks as if it was normal...made me chuckle.

It is on but we have the fuel burner also generating extra heat. It was bitterly cold when we were walking back with the dogs this afternoon. So we did put the heating on.
