Off....but it sounds from the weather as if it will be going back on soon.
Its hard to back sense of this weather.....its veering from very mild, springlike to such deep cold and back again.0 -
I had the heating on for a couple hours this morning, I had to go out all dy so I turned it off, came home at 3 and its been on since, its pretty cold out now the.......................

Mine has been off for over a week now but it's gone a bit parky again so it's on for an hour or so and then I'll see how it goes.
Due to extreme vigilance my quarter's gas bill to the middle of January came out to about half of what I expected it to be. I just can't get my head around all that units to cubic metres to therms business. I think they do it on purpose so it's just as well I'd overestimated it rather than the other way round or the wailing and the gnashing of teeth would be heard in John O'Groats.0 -
Definately off. its oil and too expensive to use. i have a woodburing stove though. infact i keep a big pan of water on top and use it for washing up to save using the oil too."The purpose of Life is to spread and create Happiness" :j0

Have you turned yours off now, use it when needed, don't use it regardless of the changing climate, rely on a gas /elec fire in the living room, use it and sod the costs? You live..You learn.:)0

It's turned off in our house now. In the morning, while getting dressed, we use a little fan heater in the lounge. The house isn't that cold really, but it is a small one-bedroom house, so it warms up quite fast, even with only the fan heater on0

I tried switching it off a few weeks ago but my young kids complained they were cold. So I have adjusted the timings so it comes on for an hour and a half in the mornings and hour and a half in the evenings.
I can't say b*gger the cost but nor do I want the kids being too cold (mornings are generally the worst but the timing system doesn't allow me to just set it for the morning only).I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
