It's -6 here at the moment and we still have a couple of feet of snow so ours is on, but it's due to go off at 8pm.

Definitely warmer today. This time yesterday I had 3 hot water bottles under the duvet with me . Today I only have 1 and my hands are no longer painful. :j

Sounds like you may be getting some chilblains, make sure you keep your hands warm, not hot (wrap the hot water bottle in a pillowcase) and use lots of moisturiser.

Try not to heat cold hands and feet up too quickly, gentle warming.

    Thanks for the advice bluebag.

It's OK, no chilblains here yet. Just arthritis and raynaud's.

  • It was freezing here today, then went up to 3c.It snowed lightly earlier on,and now it looks like it's raining.

The flat felt really chilly today, but I was so warm with all my layers on that I didn't put the heating on.I do need to get some fingerless gloves though,to wear in the flat.

The heating has been on since 25 November... thought we could keep it off until December but it was really cold (especially for our 2 year old) and we live in the heavy snowed North East!

    Hope everyone is doing well:-)

Off - windows slightly open, sun's out.

If any of you get chilblains on your feet, I recommend North Face slippers (ok, they call them "tent mules") - like wearing duvets on your feet!

I wear fingerless gloves over normal gloves when outside. It helps a lot.

On. at 55 which is keeping me comfortable, was 50 overnight. HAve been out, am in side thawing, then will go out again. All my water troughs are frozen almost completely solid and I need to defrost at least one of them.:(
