    I've been Money Tipped!
Off!would be great tohave more south facing windows on a day like this! Its beautiful in the sun,one step away from it and its still not warm! My chickens are all sunbathing in a line, in a thin beam of sunlight into a barn. They look like its bliss!

Do be careful everyone,if you need heat to think about it before the sun goes down as it might well get cold very quickly.

despite 3 ft of snow outside , sadly mine is off as oil cant be delivered till new year:eek: due to weather conditions and back log of orders

i went to collect a bit yesterday in containers could only get 50 ltres though and it was SOooooooooooooooo expensive i shant do that again ..

only have a weeks worth left in tank so am being extra extra careful with what i have left and only using it sparingly

heres hoping the backlog clears sooner and we can be toastie warm again

mind you when i think back to childhod there was only a coal fire to heat whole house so central heating and radiatore have mad e os wussies ;)
  • Our heating is off - because we have run out of oil - how clever is that!! The oil suppliers are struggling with demand and with the bad weather they cant get to us until Wednesday or Thursday! This is actually OHs fault, its his job to keep an eye on levels in the tank, but no point getting annoyed with him I guess, we have just used a lot more than expected.

Actually is not as bad as I thought, we have an open fire in the lounge and a multi fuel stove in the kitchen plus a couple of electric heaters that we can move around as needed. Lots of layers on and I am fine. Mind you we still have a foot of lying snow and temperatures expected to be
    -10 tonight!!

Keep telling the kids I never had central heating until I was in my 20s. Used to wake up to ice on the inside of the windows. Off to do some baking now, great excuse to put the oven on!!!
  • Jammy Dodger - what a nightmare not getting oil until new year - I am relieved now that I have got some coming this week!!

Does make you appreciate the central heating though doesnt it, think tomorrow morning might be interesting!!

Off for now, but only because we're airing the house and having a good clean and tidy up before the inlaws arrive for 3 weeks.

OH has been putting up the Christmas decs and putting a tree in the freezing porch and lights outside too, so all the heat would fly out the door anyway.

The sun has made an appearance today at least.
    In Progress!!!

OMG thats awful - you are in my area too if I remember rightly! - what is the cost just now per L in this area - I filled up with 1300 L in September when the new tank was installed and before the heating came on and was very luck at 45.3p but its gone up now a lot. Maybe I should book some for February!
Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j
