I'm really struggling to get the washing dry now, I have a tumble drier for emergency use only. The weather is supposed to be dry and sunny tomorrow, I hope so, the house looks like a laundry with 6 people in the house the washing or should I say drying, soon mounts up. I'll have to make a decision soon put the heating on or the drier.MFW 1/5/08 £45,789 Cleared mortgage 1/02/13

Exactly the same problem I am having, got clothes hanging all around the house, but they are not drying very well as it is too cold. Our tumble dryer broke and we are now trying to manage without one, but it is taking so long to dry our clothes they are starting to smell damp before they get dry. Think I will have to put heating on just to dry clothes!Sorting my life out to give a better life to my:heartsmil 2 gorgeous boys :heartsmil0 -
The other half and I went to Aldi today and picked up some thermal underwear. I was quite amused because he picked it up and said "I'll just look silly wearing these" to which I replied "you do wear them UNDER your clothes you know?"
If he had his way I'm sure we would have the heating on all day but no way is that happening. It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0 -

What did you think of them? Any good? And is the £7.99 for the top plus leggings or just for one or the other?0 -

We have been back from holiday for a week and a half now and I still haven't caught up with all the washing. I can't get it dry with just my airer so have only been able to manage one load every two days.
I don't have a tumble drier... I am getting so brassed off with all the washing hanging around I am thinking of going to the launderette but then i have second thoughts because I may get it all washed and dried in one go but then I will have an even bigger mountain of ironing:(
I moaned all summer i was too hot but at least I could keep on top of my laundry!0 -
we haven't got ours on yet either. but we would if I had my way. I have on by thickest cardigan and am thinking of getting some fingerless gloves for when I am sitting at the computer. I have been turning my electric blanket on this week though.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
