Its not really cold yet but I do put it on for a little while in the morning and for a little while in the evening, just to make it comfortable, I hate being uncomfortable.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I gave in on 1st October as it was getting too cold in the mornings. It's only on a couple of hours in the morning and a couple at night.

  • heating is still off here but have made the bed up with thick flanette sheets, and 3 blankets warm as toast :D
  • Mine is still off. My oh works outside so thinks the house feels warm. It has gone cold in the evening now and there was a frost here this morning. Never mind I made a big throw for the sofa and my electric blanket is on. I just hate having cold feet so have leg warmers on.

    Defiantly on....

Was down to 2 degrees here last night and felt the nip in the air yesterday evening.

Dont worry too much about his hands (or feet), a good way to find out if your little one is cold before they can tell you is to feel their backs (maybe the tops of their arms/back of neck as well) - if they are cold there then extra layers and maybe the heating on then!

I am not too worried about him as he feels nice & warm - its me I am worried about, I am still feeding him & those cold little hands on my skin are too much to bear haha

  • It's been realy cold these past few nights and early mornings but to be honest we've just put on a jumper.
I'm going to try and hold out like I did last year as we actually felt much better for it not being in a stuffy atmosphere.
It's not that I'm being mean as I've still continued paying the same gas and electric payments and have built up a good credit for when it gets realy cold, it's just we realy did feel better last year when we did'nt have the heating on all the time.
We moved about a lot more and got a lot more done and my OH even lost a bit of weight as he was more active.
It's amazing how central heating makes you feel lazy and lethargic.
I'll put the heating on when I need to but if it's anything like last year it won't be till December again and that will only be if I have to.
