Apart from the next couple of mild days, the rest of the month is looking quite cool compared to March last year. 😕

And true to form the mild days are when I'm at work. It's meant to be 16C and sunny on Wednesday before falling back to 10C for the weekend.
Still it's better than those days in January when it was struggling to get above freezing.

13 degrees in my home, still using the electric blanket but no heating. The weather has been really nice today, but back down to 11 degrees with cloud tomorrow.

Wretched viruses are still going around, and DH brings them home. We are both coughing now. The heating is off when the sun is shining but we are glad of some heat morning and evening.

Heating has been off since mid feb (I live in the SE so not too cold!).
Although I am still bundling up in blankets and hot water bottle in the evenings that seems to be enough for me.
And whilst the sunshine is lovely at the moment it does make dressing difficult, I always seem to wind up with too many or not enough layers.

I am in the SE and my heating is on.

I also manage without the heating when the sun is shining but put it on in the morning and in the evening. The new place I moved into in late Oct is south facing so I get the sun through the day whereas my old place the sun was in my kitchen but my living room didnt get any until late afternoon.I thought my energy bills would be higher as I have a larger living room but so far theyve been slightly lower here. The EPPC is the same and square footage is slightly higher here even though Ive move from a 2 bed house to a 2 bed ground floor flat due to my mobility, but I don't have as much draught from the front door as there is an entrance door before you get to my flat which makes quite a lot of difference and I still use my draught excluder which I made from an old thick curtain and stuffed with the contents of some old pillows which had started to get a bit lumpy and this also helps as I live near the coast and it gets quite blowy so close to the sea.

TBH I think my brain arbitrarily decides when winter is over and there were a few nice days in February so heating season was officially over!LOL😂

There is heavy rain forecast tomorrow and the temperatures look they are dropping on Wednesday and Thursday too. I might need to put the bedroom heating on overnight to avoid waking up freezing cold again. Hoping to get away with it!
