Is your heating ON or OFF?

Just a reminder that it is the cold air that will make you ill so no number of layers will completely protect you.
Treat yourself to a warm room - you know you're worth it.

I have just been vacuuming and tidying up, but now I have sat down I realised it is chilly so the heating has gone on.

I'm in the office today so work's paying for the heating I'm currently using.4

Just be careful. I managed to burn myself with one a few weeks ago (stupidly took it to bed).Nelliegrace said:I think I may be getting old, and feeling the cold more. A jumper over my pyjamas, and a woolly hat, and a second hot water bottle.I have been using a heated blanket in bed since then and it has been bliss

Have just returned home after 3 days away over the festive period and my house was down to 9.5 degrees 🥶
Gas CH on for 6 hours 😳 but finally got up to 18 degrees by 9pm last night. Back down to 13.5 this morning so the heating will be on again later before I get out of bed.❤️Mum 2018

Hi All,

It has been chilly today. I went out for a walk in the park as it was lovely and sunny, but it was very cold in the shade! I had the heating on for an hour, but we are using the portable halogen heater now as we are in one room with our dog.
I definitely don’t need the bedroom to be 18 at night as we have the winter duvet and we add a blanket on top. It was 12 when I came downstairs today, but I still air out the house with the windows and sometimes doors open for 10 minutes or I feel the house air is stale.5 -
I'll be back at the office tomorrow despite being allowed to work from home - that will save me 8 hours of heating use!
Thermostat at home is currently set to 20.5 but I think it actually reads slightly too high. Main bedroom not in use during the day so radiator valve is turned down.3 -
The hall storage heater went on quarter setting last night to try to keep it above 10C before the cold snap starts. I'm really not looking forward to the next few days. As soon as the living room storage heater (on full) loses charge and the room drops to 15C, I'll be retring to the bedroom and my electric blanket.3

I am going to switch mine on and keep it low for the next few days - mostly through fear of frozen pipe damage. Its a false economy not to.No man is worth crawling on this earth.
